The setting was romantic with the view of the ocean and the breathtaking sunset. Watching the quails and the llamas was serene and feeding the chickens was a way to thank them for the wonderful eggs. We will have to come again in the fall so we can use the fireplace or in the winter to look for whales. Just... more

Beautiful location, wonderful facility, friendly staff and well-stocked Wine Bar! We've stayed at Glendeven in 1982 (The Garret), 2002 and 2009 (both Etta's Suite) -- each and every visit was peaceful, relaxing and serene. more

We came upon Glendeven during the late afternoon after a long day of driving----------we were so ready for rest, relaxation and a lovely place to stay overnight----------also ready for some exercise after all the "sitting", and were directed to a walking trail out over the headlands-------------just right! Glendeven is a delightful "find"! more

We spent three nights at the Inn and had a wonderful and relaxing experience. The service was exceptional; the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful; and the grounds and rooms were beautifully maintained. The attention to every detail really enhanced our stay. From the hand-written welcome note and flowers to the bag of feed for the chickens, we felt... more

Staying at the Glendeven was spectacular. Everything about the trip, from our clean and well appointed room (Bay View), to the property, the innkeepers, and the three-course in-room daily breakfast, were perfect. I'm not a B&B fan but this was the best parts of a B&B (intimacy, unique character, lovely amenities), without any of the weird B&B vibe (i.e. breakfast... more

From the moment we pulled in and saw the beautiful grounds I had high hopes. When I stepped into the reception and wine barn I was impressed by the simple contemporary and elegance. That was carried out in the Farmhouse suite and main living room where we stayed. It was so beautiful and had really nice touches here and there... more

Glendeven Inn provided an elegant birthday celebration! This was our 3rd visit to Glendeven and our 6th to the Little River/ Mendocino area. New Innkeepers John D. and Mike R. have added a Wine Bar[n], chickens for organic eggs at breakfast and picture perfect landscaping. Evening dining is certainly nearby at Stevenswood, Little River Inn, Albion Inn and Ledford House.... more

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Glendeven and can only echo the other great reviews. . . Reception - very welcoming; John the owner suggested and then made dinner reservations for us; the Wine tasting showcased some fine local wines (we had 6 bottles shipped - SO easy!) Room - "Bayloft" - SPOTLESSLY clean, private and... more

I have never felt more relaxed away from home. Mind you, that could just be me, but I've never really had the feeling like I was at home what I was not. My fiance and I really needed a relaxing getaway, and this 2 day stay blew away our expectations. We stayed in Etta's Suite, and the room was perfect.... more

My husband and I came went up to Mendocino this weekend with a friend as a last minute trip and were blown away by the Glendeven Inn. We've stayed at a number of BnB's over the years, but none have had the fantastic level of service, food, ambiance, and decor that this place has to offer. From the minute we... more
