the Plantation is the place to be. great hosts on Scott and Marie, wonderful setting, and great place to go explore Sequoia national Park. yes the accomodation may be " quaint" , but hey, this is doen with style.. Scott's qualities as host and Marie's cooking ability, compliment each other excellently. Make Plantation the place to visit and enjoy your... more

Whilst I wish Scott & Marie, (the owners) well I really do feel that they could spruce the place up! The decor is very tired, the lounge OMG, who really wants a "Gone With The Wind" theme in 2008? maybe 1978! We didn't like the breakfasts, not much choice and if you didn't like the cooked dishes (which were more... more

this place is small and quaint, with different themes for each room. we stayed in scarlet o'hara and it was wonderful - the room has a fireplace, jacuzzi in the bathroom, and french doors open to the cute veranda, which we enjoyed while sipping our wine. you might be visited by a black and white kitty who climbed up the... more

We had a great stay in the Carriage Suite - loads of space, the private deck with your own private humming birds! was a nice touch, even though there were a few loose tiles so part of it was cordoned off - but I'm sure they will have been repaired by now. The breakfasts were outstanding, and also lovely to... more

My husband and I stayed at the Plantation Inn during our visit to Sequoia National Park. I was skeptical when I looked at the website and saw that there was a Gone With The Wind theme - because it just seemed odd and without relevance - but it was the only thing available in the area. Well, I should have... more

We spent our honeymoon at The Plantation and fell in love with this wonderful place. Has a "Gone With the Wind" theme and all the rooms are named and decorated after a character in the movie. Each room is unique in its own way. The inkeepers are very friendly and helpful with information about the National Parks nearby and that... more

This B&B was very disappointing in that the space was too small with nowhere to sit except the bed. The floor was slanted on an angle (bizarre), and our room theme, Rhett Butler, which sounds romantic, was not. It was faded, tacky, and badly in need of updating. That said, the breakfast was amazing, with homemade granola, "eggy"plant parmesan and... more

We stayed one night on our way to Sequoia having driven up from LA. We were made very welcome by one of the innkeeping staff (not the owners). The garden is superb - a lovely place to relax after a drive, and also wonderful to watch the stars after dinner. The pool was clean and a pleasant temperature. There's a... more

We stayed for three nights in the Aunt Pittypat room. It's an excellent choice because it's away from any noise in the main house (where most of the rooms are located) in what looks to have been formerly a pool house. This lovely home has been decorated with a Gone with the Wind theme in mind. Our room was clean... more

We stayed here after visiting Sequoia NP last year. I found the whole experience strange, especially as we were the only people staying that night so were left completely alone in the house. Our room was small and stuffy with a bath in the middle in which it was almost impossible to take a shower in without being attacked by... more
