My family and I just stayed at this lovely little place this past Saturday night. The Lake View Lodge, was so clean and tidy. The town is pretty much shut down for the season but we were very pleased with the accommodations. Will stay here again.

During the first weekend of January, we rented 5 rooms at the Lake View Lodge. We found the rooms to be clean, kept up well and warm. The WiFi worked well. However, the Lodge stated that they have to use satellite internet because there is no DSL in Lee Vining. It is a short walk to the market and to... More

The rooms are like from back in the 50's. One of the last hotels seemingly to be using old keys. Everything inside is dated. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. They claim they have high speed internet, but because of the location Wi-Fi is marginal at best. Parking is easy and usually near your room. The hotel... More

We stayed for just one night on our return from Yosemite. The booking in process was easy and was nice and welcoming. Good size clean room and comfy bed. Great shower with lots of power to help the waking process in the morning. Nothing to fault and all at a budget price. WE had no problems with the free internet.

Internet very flaky and variable, but free. Clean, limited number of TV stations. Very quiet. Be sure to see the tufa towers on nearby Mono Lake; drive up Tioga Pass to see the mountains. No refrigerator or microwave, but did have a coffee service in the room. To eat, try Nicely's down the street, or head over to June Lake.

My wife and I recently stayed here for 1 night on the way from Yosemite to Death Valley. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and were given a downstairs room which was a bit basic, but spacious and reasonably furnished. Sound insulation was an issue as we could hear people in adjoining rooms and, especially, from outside where the car... More

We stayed in a cottage for 2. The cottage was cute, but the bed is one of the worst we've ever had. Not only was it too soft, but the sheets smelled sweaty, and the bed creaked every time you rolled over in it or got up out of bed. I don't know how the hotel rooms are, but recommend... More

Stayed here Friday night 10/31/14 and enjoyed my stay. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The room, bath and full kitchen in my motel room were clean and well kept. The tv was a flat screen tv placed in the cabinet where the old crt tv had been. The bed and pillows were comfortable, large... More

We were directed to a wooden chalet which was compact but gorgeous. If we hadn't had so much luggage it would have been easier - but we found places for everything. The staff were very caring and when we had problems opening our door the receptionist left the desk unattended so he could help us. The bathroom was rather small... More

We stayed in a cabin. It was clean enough, but the linens were thread bare and long past due for replacement. The desk clerk is not well trained or proficient at her job. Next time we will keep driving. If you do stay in the cabin ask to be away from the chickens and Roosters. They get started about 4:30... More
