This was the most filthy place I have ever had the displeasure of entering. I opted not to stay overnight based on the condition of the bldgs - I entered through the cloud of smoke and unshowered people congregated in the area of the bar to use the restroom after my long drive. How the hea;th department didn't get to... more

I have stayed in some bad motels over the years but I have to say this one is at the top of the list. Of course I stayed at the Desert Inn to try to save some money but honestly I was better of sleeping in my car. I arrived at midnight and was very tired, the lady at the... more

I stayed there last week when I was in town visiting some old friends. The front desk was pleasant and the restaurant staff was great! I loved the food at the Granada Room. Very nice steak house. Yeah, the building is definitely old, and it's not a Sheraton or whatever but the rooms were clean and comfortable and the people... more

This hotel was the most disgusting place I have ever been too! The coffee shop had holes in the glass windows and was so dated inside. There was even someone smoking at the bar(Against CA state law)! The rooms were nasty inside. Should be shut down. The food was terrible and a loud compressor ran all night. We were there... more

Once the place to stay in Lancaster, it's 30 years past it's prime with no renovations in sight. I tried to save money by staying here and it was a mistake. When I opened the door to the room I said "it's not so bad", my wife said "Yes it is." It was 104' or so when we checked in... more

It was the most disgusting place we have ever stayed!! The website picture looked nothing like the room we had!! I needed to book a room that slept 2 adults and 2 children. I was told they were "sold out" of rooms with 2 beds. I upgraded to the "Apartmet" which I was assured would sleep 4. I was charged... more

Don't believe the brochure or any glorifying reviews. Rooms smell bad. Maintenance seemingly non existant. Jacuzzi not working with sign posted by State of California. Pool filthy came out with dirt in my swimsuit. Surroundings really bad area with prostitutes obvious in area. Definitely not a place to take your children. Train passes frequently with associated whistles all night. Consensus... more

The Desert Inn is cheap to stay, but not comfortable. Here is my experience: carpets felt moist, the air conditioner took hours to cool down the room, as we drove up to our room there was people honking their horn to get the attention of someone there, there was a party going on in one room, the area is not... more

After reading the past reviews, I found that I was not alone in my dissappointment. The room was filthy and the customer service was just as bad. To top it off, I was charged for a refridgerator that never existed. It appears that the "stolen refridgerator" was gone way before I stayed in this hotel! more

There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this hotel!! Their ad is completely misleading!! Positive reviews have got to be made up!! Stay away!! Stay very far away!! Luxurious rooms on secure park-like setting is completely false. It is all concrete and sits on a highway near railroad tracks! Heated pools-NO heat but there was 2 dirty pools. Jacquzzi - Yes,... more
