I've stayed in a lot of casinos during my gambling and traveling career. Almost every one has friendly staff overall or they wouldn't be in business. However, Barona comes out on top. Everyone looks you in the eye and says hi. The games all have a sticker letting you know to push the button for assistance if you need anything.... More

My company wont pay for a "casino" hotel, but I will! So even if I'm traveling for work, I'll pay out of my pocket. I LOVE this place! Great buffet and SUPER comfortable clean rooms! Yes, the road is a little scary (but I've driven ALOT worse going up to Big Bear) so try to get there before dark. The... More

The slots are on and off as expected. The food is great. Lunch buffet was one of the best I have been to. $1 tacos and cheap nachos at Three Amigos are great. Polar Bear mocha iced coffees are $1 for small, $200 for large and are delicious. Friendly staff, nice rooms.

Where do I begin......let's start with the beautiful canyon road leading up to the hidden treasure my family calls "Barona"! From the moment you enter the perfectly manicured property, you are first greeted by the friendly man waving to us as we pass him to either valet or self park. We choose self park as it it just a short... More

WE GIVE THIS HOTEL THE HIGHEST RANK-5 STAR ACROSS ALL CATEGORIES. This place is out of this world! The service at the Front Desk is superb! LeAnn is best!!! She is friendly, caring and provides great service. She was so kind to notice that my parents are elderly and provided us the nearest available rooms near the Casino entrance. The... More

We drove over 2 hours to arrive. Wildcat Canyon Rd is a dark dangerous road at night. Beware...As we arrived, the Bellman (Gumby) was great. Welcomed us to the Casino Resort. When we met "Whitney" at the front counter. She informed us our reservations we made incorrectly in my business associates name, with my name also on the reservation???. She... More

Awesome place for a staycation. The casino and hotel are attached so no need to venture outside. The area surrounding is in a valley so greenery, golfing and ponds are what surround you. Rooms are always clean and quiet. Every room has a mini balcony to enjoy your morning coffee on. Always a nice time here.

This is a good local retreat if you live in or around San Diego. The exotic rocky road conveys the idea or being far away from the city - and technically you are in sovereign land, which adds to the allure - although you are only 30 miles from downtown and just "around the corner" from San Diego's east county.... Need a break from your daily life but do not want a long drive? Need to play some golf, hit the spa, have some entertainment? All this and more is just a short drive from almost any area in San Diego. Stayed here several times and always enjoyed it. When entering the grounds you notice the gate wavers welcoming you....
