I reserved a block of hotel rooms for my wedding guests. They told me they would hold the rooms until 3 weeks prior and release any unbooked rooms into inventory. Two months before my wedding I got a calling telling me that another group wanted to book the same dates and were giving me my 48 hour notice to put... more

We stayed at the Ayers because we had friends getting married nearby and they booked a block of rooms there. We were honestly shocked at how nice it was considering the really good price we got. The room was enormous. The entire place is decorated lushly in a European theme, with pretty art, nice wallpaper etc. The room had a... more

This is a medium aged property in suburban Orange County. I spent three nights there while attending a business conference. The Ayers hotels are a small and, I think, privately owned hotel chain competing in the “semi-boutique” market. The motif is an attempt at the 19th century European look. It comes off ok. The bed was comfortable. There is a... more

My brother was getting married at a private home in Laguna Hills, and the Ayres Hotel was one of the closest places for a lot of the family to stay. They gave us a good "wedding rate" and agreed to set aside 19 rooms. When we checked in, we were all pleasantly surprised at how lovely a facility it is.... more

I stay at this hotel about 30-40 times a year as I do business in Irvine. The hotel has a great location. It is only a few miles from the Irvine Spectrum and Lauguna Beach. There is a grocery store across the street. The breakfast buffet includes made to order egg dishes along with sausage, bacon, & potatoes. The rooms... more

We had a very nice weekend stay at the Ayres Hotel while visiting relatives in Laguna Woods. This hotel was much better than I had anticipated. The location was great: very convenient for shopping and a 15 minute drive to the beach at Laguna. The rooms were surprisingly large and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable. I thought the... more

This hotel had a strange slant in the decor, and prided itself as a family run set of hotels. Staff friendly, helpful, and provided local maps of the area, and recommended restaurants. Decor is a mixture of Tuscan (exterior), English (seats), American (20th century replicas) - and always intrigues me in having a gas fire on, in the reception area... more

This is the hotel of choice for business travellers working at the many Irvine area businesses - and for good reason. The rooms actually have decent lighting (rare in any hotel), comfortable beds, nice amenities, and a very, very good breakfast bar. Evenings there is a wine & cheese which is a nice gesture. Front desk staff are very helpful... more
