We stayed at this hotel during fall break. It was a work trip for me that my family attended with me as they were off on break for the week. I had originally reserved one of their rooms that included a kitchenette and after reading reviews I requested to change my reservation upon check-in for a room against the beach.... More

My wife and I just stayed at the Pacific Edge hotel to celebrate our 25th anniversary. I’m a big fan of staying close enough to the water to hear the waves and that limits the choices in nearby Laguna Beach. The other true beachfront hotels (Montage, Ritz Carlton, Surf and Sand) all were in the $700 per night range, a... More

What a fantastic celebration! It was a pleasure to be a part of it, and to read your kind words. Looking forward to welcoming you back again -- no matter what the occasion! :) Warm regards, Thomas Lee General Manager More

We live in Las Vegas and this is our weekend getaway. If you stay, the ocean front rooms are the best. The main reason we stay here is the location. You are literally on the beach. The Deck offers great food and cocktails. We have gotten to know one of the bar tenders and valet knows me by name.

The view is spectacular and maid service for the room is great. However the services end there. We went down to have a drink at "The Deck" and eat at "The Driftwood". Both mentioned on the web site as part of the hotel accomodations. The hostess at the Driftwood could not take a reservation because she was still trying to... More

Sorry about the confusion, Debbi. While I hope that the rest of your visit was wonderful and relaxing, I'll definitely share this with both teams at our restaurants to discover the cause of the trouble. Thanks for letting me know about this, and I hope we'll have a chance to show you the fantastic service we're known for. Best, Thomas... More

I believe this is a renovated motel - within the past few years. They "upgraded" me to a suite when I got there which was a pleasant surprise! The room was huge! Had a full kitchen, dining room, living room/bed room. The balcony was awesome, and it overlooked the one restaurant. I could see the water from my room, but... More

Glad you enjoyed the upgrade! That really is a lovely view, and of course, you can't beat the proximity to the beach. Thanks for your suggestions, and keep us in mind next time you need a little sun! :) All the best, Thomas Lee General Manager More

While it tries to be a hip little boutique on the beach, in reality it is little more than a rip-off with minimal improvements, noisy rooms, shotty amenities and hidden charges like $27 for nightly parking that they don't tell you about until check-in. If they just were up from the about what you're actually getting, then it wouldn't be... More

It's really disappointing that we weren't what you expected, Dexter. Most folks rave about our view and quaint rooms, so I wish you'd had the same experience. I'd like to know more about your stay, specifically, which room you were in and the dates of your visit, so let me know if you want to continue the conversation. All the... More

The crew at Pacific Edge worked really hard to make sure we had a fabulous experience. From Drew at the Valet to Javid who helped us to our room to Luis who made sure we had everything we needed, the experience was top notch. Don't hesitate to book a vacation here!

... and not much else. Beachfront rooms have a beautiful view, in fact, the ocean waves crash underneath your balcony. Balcony open to all sides, no privacy. Room equipment basic but modern, very comfy beds but no hairdryer, no microwave, extremely small bathroom with no place to put things. Hotel is more motelstyle, outside area could do with a renovation... More

Yes, some of our rooms are a bit more basic than others, but we feel that we have a wide range to choose from! Aside from your room, it's good to hear that your stay was lovely. Hope to have you back next time you need a little California sun, Nucita! Best, Thomas Lee General Manager More

I grew up going to the now defunct beach house restaurant (now driftwood kitchen) and always wondered what the dorm looking buildings were that run along side. i finally figured it out (thanks to google maps). my dream has always been to be the girl on the balcony of the oceanfront room. when I opened the door to the room... Cool, funky rooms with great proximity to beach life. Luis and Javid run the desk at night and totally took care of me when I had a last minute reservation. Luis recognized me from a previous visit and hooked me up with a great ocean view room. Highly recommend.
