This is a nice hotel, we really didn't have any problems at all with this place. The only thing we didnt like was that our room was next to the elevator and we can kind of hear it from our room. Other than that, it's right by the beach...no too close, but it's walking distance. I would prefer a hotel... more

We needed a quick mid week getaway so I reviewed what others had to say about this hotel and liked what most had to say enough to give it a try. Paid $220 (AAA discount) for the delux 2 queen on 2nd floor overlooking the pool and a sneak peek of the ocean. Do not stay in room 211 though.... more

Found this hotel when in Laguna Beach for Memorial Weekend. Was supposed to stay at Hotel Laguna but because it was so awful, we drove around looking for a vacancy. We stayed one night at this hotel. Would love to have stayed longer but it was booked for the rest of the weekend. The rooms are newly renovated, decorated nicely,... more

The welcome basket was great. My room was always wonderfully cleaned and ready when I got back from work which was always refreshing for me. The location and decor was wonderful. This felt like a real find and I will be sure to return if and when I need to stay in Laguna Beach again. more

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a whirlwind trip to California a couple summers ago. We saw the pictures on the website, which are very well staged, and were really excited about our stay. We spared no expense on this trip, so I figured paying $250 for one night wasn't too bad of a deal for a... more

For the price paid for our room, it was overpriced for what we got. Deluxe king with balcony was an average king room with what looked like a back door of an old apartment that had a balcony when you opened it. The balcony looked over a private home next door and didn't have a see-through railing. So if you... more

I booked a room on line for a 2 night stay. We then found a better deal, closer to our event, and canceled the reservation that same day by calling the hotel directly. The person we spoke to gave us a cancellation #, but apparently didn't really cancel our reservation. The number he gave me was for someone else's reservation... more

My husband and I stayed at By the Sea Inn for a quick weekend honeymoon trip. We wanted to stay somewhere close to the beach, but didn't want to pay a high price. I found By the Sea Inn here on tripadvisor and read a lot of good reviews. I decided to book directly on the motel's website after seeing... more

In my mind this hotel was a bargain right around $120.00 and included a wonderful breakfast in the K'Ya restaurant at their sister hotel, La Case Del Camino, about 5 blocks away. If you prefer to drive for breakfast to the sister hotel they have free parking across the street. If you do not want breakfast you get an $8.00... more

Great motel/hotel if you are visiting the Laguna Beach area and need a place to stay. Short walk to beach, restaurants, art galleries, shops, and Starbucks. Parking available for hotel guests. Rooms had decent balconies with some water view over and through rooftops. Rooms themselves were very nice. We booked a king size room and a room with two queens.... more
