We stayed here as a family in July for some training my husband had. I loved the fact that each little section of rooms/condos has it's own pool. Now we were there in the summer so temps were well at 115-120 F, but we are from AZ so we know how to tolerate the high temps. The room was located... More

I too stayed at the La Quinta Resort mid-January for a business Conference & also experienced some of the same problems/issues as the previous writer describes ~ with some additional problems, as follows; *Front door to casita had at least a 1/2 inch (if not more) gap which allowed the very cold desert air in at nights and it was... We ended up in La Quinta after a business/pleasure trip tha brought us to LA from Canada. We primarily picked La Quinta for its golf affiliation with some premier courses and for what we saw in the website. We thought this was perhaps a once in a lifetime trip so we wanted to go upscale and we were only going to be... Stayed here for a work conference in mid January 07. Brochure and website are highly misleading - the place is not a gorgeous, charming hotel. It is poorly maintained and dumpy, except for the flowers and vegetation. My room had broken tiles, intermittent hot water, broken mirrors and cabinets, and a stained carpet. My colleagues had: NO hot water, bugs... More

An annual exursion for two nights of pampering was so disappointing that we will not ever return to this once first class resort. Had we known the hotel had been sold to the Hilton chain we would have rethought the trip. Once a haven with amenties, class and distinction we know visited a "chain" hotel missing all the panache and... More

We love this historic property that was a playground of the Hollywood stars of the '30s and '40s. Huge grounds with lovely amenities. Nice bungalow type rooms and lots of pools so you feel like yours is almost private. Everything you'd want in a resort. That said, it took a steep nosedive once the Marriott took over in late 2005.... More

Well we just returned from probably our 30th time to the resort. We loved the grounds and the history. The location is great for us because we have a family member who has a home within the resort. But the service gets worse each visit. This time we arrived on Thanksgiving Day we just wanted to put our luggage in... More

My husband and I booked a Starlight Castita at the Resort but upon arrival we were upgraded to a Spa Villa. It was stunning. The resort staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and extremely well cared for. And our room....wow. It was beautiful. The full kitchen had a gorgeous sitting area just outside that was... More

On a whim our family decided to try La Quinta. I was a little concerned because of some of the negative reviews, but we decided to try it for a two-night weekend stay. La Quinta turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for - it was perfect. The rooms were beautiful with a very nice gas fireplace, huge... More

We had a good time at a $300/night junior suite in the 1700 block of casitas. We asked for a recently remodelled room and, arriving on a Thursday, were easily accomodated. Some of the older units closer to the lobby struck us as dingey and moldy, plus there was often a mild aroma of manure as we walked through parts... More
