This is by far the best travelodge I've stayed at...it actually puts some of the high-end hotels to shame. The room was spotlessly clean and I love how they put a sanitized cover on the toilet to assure you that it's safe and clean to use. The room was pretty spacious and came with a lazy boy, TV, microwave, and... More

I booked this hotel on Hotwire.com for 2 adults and 3 children. Hotwire's website asks for number of rooms, number of adults, and number of children aged 2-17. I was traveling with 2 children. Two who fit that age range and one younger, so I did not include her in the reservation. Upon completion of my reservation and learning the... More

An accomodating staff and clean, well maintained rooms. Breakfast was always on time with a pleasing selection from which to choose. Near public transportion and shopping centers. A little slice of heaven in the village of La Mesa. Our reservations had been mislabeled yet an experienced staffer named Oscar found the problem and made check-in a breeze. It's a "must... More

The hotel is clean, but not new. Location is good if you wanna see San Diego and have a car. The area is quiet and safe. Drawbacks: no free internet and breakfast is very poor. More

And even tho parking is problematic, The hotel and staff are great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff goes outta there way to help you in any way. I've seen some bad reviews here and just know if your not noisey, drunk, and don't let you kids slam doors or run down the halls (not a playground) then... More

I stayed here for 3 weeks and would highly recommend this place. The price, room size and staff are all great. For 35-50 bucks a night the rooms are a steal, updated and clean! There is a bus stop right next to the hotel, a trolley stop w/in walking distance and a cool little village is also w/in walking distance. Check... More

We just took a one month road trip on the west coast and Las Vegas and stayed at many hotels and motels. The La Mesa Travelodge was in a class by itself. The room was so nice with many decorative touches that my wife took pictures of the room itself. The only place we stayed where she did that. The... More

We stayed at this Travelodge in November. I read the review concerning childern, and was hesitant. We decided to go ahead and book anyway. Best decision ever! We were pleasantly suprised by the room size, and over all look of the hotel and our room. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the minifridge and microwave were a nice plus, and... More

I am late writing this review but I still feel I must. I was traveling with my sister and brother-in-law. I was visiting them in Arizona from Nova Scotia, Canada and they decided we would take a couple of days to go to visit friends in La Mesa. I am so glad we went. My sister made all the travel... More

Experienced poor customer service at this motel, front desk staff had a bad attitude, parking spaces are far too small, it was so narrow that I had trouble parking a compact-size family car within the lines. The neighborhood was not the best, seems to be a lot of shady-looking people walking down the street at night, also when I stayed... More
