Clean and Pleasant with friendly staff. The low cost headline price was attractive, but expensive breakfasts and parking bumped up the cost a lot more

I've stayed here several times in the past year for business trips in the areas north of San Diego. It's a solid business hotel, with good rooms, easy access to the freeway and good service. I've never encountered a problem. more

We stayed at this hotel for a trip to La Jolla and absolutely loved the stay. I have never experienced hotel staff so gracious, that always greeted us by name and were constantly trying to make us feel at home. The hotel is gorgeous. Great restaurants nearby and the hotel bar has a wonderful atmosphere. We are dying to go... more

My girlfriend and I enjoyed this hotel during our weekend stay in La Jolla. We both noticed how good the floors smelled each time we exited the elevator. And we really enjoyed the 16th floor lounge if you are lucky enough to have access to it. Only negatives to the hotel are it's not very soundproof, they charge for parking,... more

Stayed here one night, Saturday Sept. 12, 2009. We got a good rate on Priceline a week or so ahead of time. Called the hotel around 1:00 pm to ask what time check-in was, and they said to come now and they'd let us check in early. Arrived around 3:00 and the front desk clerk was very friendly, gave us... more

Stayed here for three nights during the summer of 09. Pros: Friendly, responsive service. Manager knocked $100 off room one night because our room was missing a window shade. Small convenience store in lobby that's open till 9 p.m. Across the street from several restaurants. A stone's throw from I-5 and a short drive to UCSD and Torrey Pines State... more

This hotel is remote and far from both downtown La Jolla and the beach. We got a deal on Priceline for $85 so we stayed here. As others reviewers have pointed out, the self-parking price is pretty outrageous for such a remote location. However, the good news is you can park on the street pretty safely, on the main drive... more

This hotel is FAR from the beach even though it is listed as "coastal". It is definitely not a place to stay with children. No regridgerator, no microwave, etc. The room was a typical Hyatt and was clean, but again it is not a "family friendly" hotel. more

I just called to inquire about certain types of units such as a two bedroom unit or connecting units and it seems the person on the other end didn't quite understand what was being asked. I don't believe the question was too complicated, do you have two bedroom units? Perhaps she was thinking two beds in a unit? Then I... more
