Staff and managers can TAKE reservations, but they can't KEEP reservations! They also have rude and inconsiderate staff. There's nothing fancy or luxurious about this hotel, but if you're looking for value and location in La Jolla, this is a property to consider. My husband sometimes works just around the corner, so we went there several times. We paid full rates and didn't expect to be treated so badly. Basically this is a 200/night hotel that would be 80/night almost anywhere else. I realize the location is going to add to the cost but I looked around La Jolla and the Empress just down the block looked like a much better value for almost the same price.
