Yes the place is old. We traveled here back in '80s and '90s before prices shot up. We picked this hotel as it is pet-friendly and close to the ocean. It was a great place for us to bring our dog as it is directly across the street from Scripps Park where everyone walks their dogs. I would say if you are looking for location, location, location and don't care about staying in an overpriced dump, I'd say this is your place.
