We had clothing stolen from our room and the hotel went out of its way to avoid accepting responsibility. My husband used the hotel's computer network for work and his laptop was infected with some kind of zombie. The room rate was excessively high given the tired decor and lack of good service. Stay away! There are lots of other... more

As Hilton Honors Gold members, we stayed for 6 nights free on our points and paid for an additional two nights for a deluxe ocean view room. For non-members, there is an additional charge for parking in an ramp adjacent to the hotel. The property is a real gem and maintained very well. All is clean and kept very neat.... more

My wife and I stayed here for our 30th anniversary and the hotel did not disappoint! Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful - from the front desk to room service to the restaurant servers. The room was amazing! The hotel is built like the letter "E", with the end of each leg of the E facing the golf course and... more

Went here over memorial day with my 12 year old daughter. We had a great time. Beautiful location. We knew that there were going to be add ons for parking, $20.00 a day, in room internet, $16.00 a day, Tennis, $10.00 an hour. But we we able to get a great base rate on line so it wasn't too bad... more

Only stayed 1 night and this was our second time in La Jolla. The hotel is a short drive from shopping and there are lots of nice hiking trails around La Jolla. Our balcony had an excellent view of Torrey Pines Golf Course and we could only dream of ever playing on it. We enviously watched some golfers make their... more

We booked this hotel because we were meeting friends in La Jolla Shores (10 mins away by car) and I wanted to use my credit card points. Not sure what to expect having never been to the property. Found out that parking will cost $20 a day-OUCH, but then learned that most properties in the area charge for parking. Found... more

Nearly all rooms have a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. The room I was in had a balcony, where if you stood in one corner the water was visible, the other two thirds looked out at the neighboring wall. The Hotel is directly adjacent to the Torrey Pines Golf Course and within walking distance (about a mile) from the... more

The best: The nicest thing about the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is the location. I had a ground floor room, so the only thing between my room and the ocean was a nice grassy courtyard and the historic Torrey Pines golf course. The good: Check-in was quick and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was warm,... more

The hotel is very nice to look at. Service is what you expect from a hotel these days. Not exactly solicitous, nobody offerred to help us with our bags, the doors or the elevators, even though we were really struggling with a toddler and four pieces of luggage. We had booked a double double to get a great rate ($119/night)... more

We stayed there for 3 days in july 2008. Nice property, nice rooms, well maintained and efficient but suffering from the feeling of industrialized luxury that many US chain hotels suffers from. You feel more like first class cattle than like high paying customers. more
