We want to thank your staff for such a wonderful stay. We really enjoyed every minute at your hotel. From the minute we pulled up to the last second that we left it was welcoming. My husband and I are both in restaurant and hotel management so we always find something to nit pick, BUT I wanted to let you... More

You really get the feel of La Jolla staying her. Wonderful staff, clean rooms. So good I'm going back again in 2 weeks! The rooms are a good size. The lobby is beautiful. My only concern was the noise of the fan in the bathroom! I don't think I have ever heard one so loud!!!

Dear BritAbroad649 - I am delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your recent stay at the Grande Colonial and La Jolla. I'm very sorry to hear about the fan in your bathroom and have already dispatched engineering to take a look at it (and all of the fans) to ensure they are operating properly. Thank you for bringing that... More

This hotel is very beautiful. The state of CA and LaJolla is one of our favorite places to visit. Everyone at the hotel was very accommodating. The ocean views are beautiful. The location to everything is terrific. The local shops/restaurants are outstanding. I love the way they give a choice of opening the window, air conditioning or ceiling fan all... More

What a wonderful place to escape the horrible winter in Michigan. From the bellman to the front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone was welcoming! We were lucky enough to get upgraded to an ocean view. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The location was within walking distance to everything downtown. I would highly recommend the Grande Colonial.

Dear CarieF_11 – It sounds as if your recent visit to the west coast to escape the rain and cold of Michigan was a big success. I’m not sure if you took advantage of our Polar Vortex Escape Package but trust that you were able to enjoy all that La Jolla has to offer, in particular the fabulous sunshine and... More

Resplendent in its heritage yet modern comfort is what you get when staying here. The lobby and reception provide a warm welcome with comfortable wingback seating to relax and think of all the people past who have stayed here. The pool area provides a lovely area to catch some warmth and late sun, protected somewhat from the ocean breeze. It's... More

Had an unforgettable romantic weekend getaway here. My boyfriend sprung for a suite and it was well worth it. It wasn't in the main building, it was in a smaller one, closer to the water and there didn't seem to be anyone else staying in that building which was a bonus. The building had a roof deck which we ordered... More
