Lovely place that is only a couple blocks to restaurants, shops, and children's cove where the harbor seals hang out. People who run it are all very friendly. In theory parking could be limited but since most of the immediate buildings are public buildings if you are there on a weekend it won't be a problem; we parked right in... More

Devinetly a place to be. Lovely and individually furnished with an excellent breakfast + afternoon wine & cheese + best of class home made cookies! We felt very comfortable during our 3 night stay in September 2013 and would gladly come again.

A great getaway to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The home is an architectural gem with historic significance. Easy to find--I don't know what that one reviewer was on that said it was hard to locate--totally ignore that reviewer as none of his comments applied. All the food was delicious. The garden delightful. It is an historic inn. That makes... More

Good price. Walking distance to the cove and to shopping. It was a perfect romantic getaway. Friendly staff, delicious food. Fresh flowers in the room, beautiful decor, comfortable bed. Beautiful garden. The house is cozy, with furniture to fit the historic building.

I recently spent 9 nights at this beautiful and relaxing Inn. I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before so was a little apprehensive at first, once I arrived though I knew that I had made the right decision. The care from all the staff was exceptional, the rooms all had their own uniqueness that gave a special... More

Because of work being done around my home, I needed to find a place to stay for a few days. I have lived in San Diego for several decades and never knew of the Inn's existence. It is among the best I have stayed and right in the heart of La Jolla. The 100 year old building is immaculate, well... More

This was the perfect weekend. The service and breakfast were fantastic. If you want a place that is quaint to just sit in the corner to read, or be able to take a nice relaxing walk, or visit some nearby unique little stores, restaurants, and coffee joints this is the place. There are also a some name brand luxury stores... More

Wonderful place, close to the ocean, great breakfast and very warm hospitality. We would definitely visit the B & B Inn at La Jolla again. Only complaint - It was our first time in La Jolla, and we found the directions to the Inn were not as clear as they could be.

Spent a wonderful long weekend at The B&B Inn at La Jolla in mid-February 2014 . I proposed to my girlfriend over the weekend, and the staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our weekend feel special. The facilities and service were first-class, and the location was perfect as numerous activities were walking distance away.... More

Reality Check - I read the same reviews you may have read, most of which talked about how amazing The Bed and Breakfast Inn at La Jolla is. I'm sorry to say that I cannot be that enthusiastic. I have been to several B&B's across the U.S., and so my review is based on how this place compared to others... More

Thank you so much for your review. We will make sure that your issues are addressed. We do keep the front door locked when the innkeeper is temporary away from the front desk for security purposes - the door bell is located to the right of the door for guests convenience. I agree keys should be explained at time of... More
