I had read some bad reviews but was enchanted with the website and thought those people were just really picky. I travel often for work and thought I knew more – was I wrong. This place was a refurbished motel – not a boutique hotel. The location I lovely but the room was not. We had a two bed room suite – there was no AC so the windows had to be open. Instead of lovely ocean sounds all we heard was traffic (all night) and a very loud neighbor trying to get back together with his girlfriend via the phone on the shared balcony outside our bedroom. My daughter could not sleep well because of the traffic noise. We could not because of the foot traffic, the wedding party, and numerous phone calls and cigarette smoke outside our window. Our bathroom broke and they left a note saying the plumber would be by the next day and we would not be charged for our room – we were charged however. And when I called to complain about my bill (several times) they offered to get back to me but never did... more
