Booked the room over the phone so was not sure what to expect. When we got there the desk clerk was friendly but that was the only dealing we had with the staff. The room was clean and yes face the highway but all in all it was a good place to stay. No Internet but then again if your... More

The rooms may look clean and well maintained, but if you are expecting service with a friendly smile don't stay here. I booked two rooms for relatives and was treated with a very cold suspicious attitude on the phone by a middle aged woman. I had to deal with her when she didn't like when I substituted one relative for... More

Found the room clean, the bed comfortable. The decor is definatly different, with forest scenes (including artificial squirrels) in each room. TV system is basic, no HD, this is not a modern hotel. As noted earlier, the water is indeed strange. When you look in the toilet bowl, it appears someone forgot to flush. But then, you flush and find... More

I'm glad I took the chance! Before booking I read many reviews and was cautious! Had been traveling for several days with family seeing the sights, and spending a lot of $$ on lesser hotels in a short amount of time. Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. My young son said this was the best hotel yet! He had his... More

We stayed here for its central location in the Redwoods. It's a basic roadside motel. Nothing fancy, but it's clean and affordable. Our room was a two-room suite with refrigerator, microwave, TV, and coffee maker. If you have an extra blanket, bring it.

I'm sure this place was once cute, right across the highway from Trees of Mystery, with Paul Bunyon and his blue ox Babe looking down. Maybe some rooms are better than others. We were told check-in was 2pm-10pm, and we checkde in at 9:40pm, which clearly was not desired. You're not allowed in the office that late, but have to... More

My 24 year old son and I stayed at this hotel on our drive up the coast of California. Since the Trees of Mystery was our destination, this was an excellent choice. I thought the value was excellent, as we had stayed at an "updated" room at another hotel further south on the coast, and it was not as nice... More

The pros: Appeared to be clean. They are "pet friendly". The cons: Bathroom windows are only partially obscured, no privacy. No fan or air conditioning. Internet does not work and they do not advertise it to work. NO hot water, only warm water. No refrigerator or microwave. TV gets two channels in clearly. No barrier to the hwy, very noisy... More

This was a nice motel as it's across the street from Trees of Mystery. We stay when visiting family in Klamath area. We woke up to Paul Bunyan and Babe, the blue ox, talking to visitors entering the Trees of Mystery. The rooms had comfy beds and very quite. Also, the front desk has a map of hiking trails behind... We stayed here in mid-March and thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. The rooms could not be CLEANER! No dust, clean floors, shower, windows, crisp sheets, clean linens, drapes no dust... you name it - immaculate! The room was spacious (#8), updated washroom, all new windows on the entire property, and parking at door. Sure, the furnishings are older deco-ish... More
