We booked into the cottage and expected to be in a comfortable historic cottage in the grounds of the Inn. We were very disappointed. The cottage is poorly equipped, for example there are no curtains in the bedroom, the bathroom was shabby and there was one plastic sofa in the living room. The cottage is a long way from the... Looks like an old tavern but the vibe inside is family run inn with family style dinners. Very friendly, clean and super comfortable king size bed and claw tub. Not luxury but very comfortable. Big breakfasts ... Ask for lemon poppy pancakes!

Unfortunately we were only able to book one night at the Inn because of availability yet that night was very nice. We had dinner that night - served family style - and met a couple from New England at the table who we connected with immediately. Between the excellent food and interesting conversation the evening flew by much too fast.... More

We stopped for two nights to visit the redwood forest. It looked interesting, but to be honest, I didn't have high hopes. Been disappointed by places like this before. All of our expectations were exceeded by leaps and bounds. We had the smallest room (only one available), but it was very nice and felt like a palace after a week... More

Our family of five was looking for a place to stay on our way from Seaside, OR to Marin County that would allow us to check out the redwoods. My husband found this one and we rented "the house" which is 3 bedroom house about a mile from the Inn. It had a spectacular view of the mountains and the... More

I'm so happy we found this little charmer in the middle of the Giant Redwoods. You step back in time here and slow down and just chill. Reminds me of inns I stayed in Nantucket 25 years ago. I loved everything about it. The planned menu for dinner, hardy and full of locally grown items. Seasoned perfect. Lots of veggies.... More

When we first arrived at the Inn, we were treated by the woman at reception (we think the owner) more like inconveniences than guests. She was rude and unhelpful so we got back in the car and went to explore Redwood (amazing place – we rented mountain bikes and cycled round for the afternoon). When we came back there was... More

Thank you for your candid review. My deepest apologies on not feeling welcome at the Inn upon your arrival, we strive for an amazing experience during your stay and I can get "harried" in the details. But always our most important part of our amazing Inn is our AMAZING guests. I'm glad the rest of my staff made up for... More

We stopped for a night on a trip down the pacific coast and this place was a highlight of the trip. We got dinner en route at Crescent City as they weren't serving dinner on a Tues night, but breakfast was fantastic. There is a hot tub out back, and the place has an amazing charm and character to it.... More

This is a quiet, out-of-the-way inn near the Klamath River. The room was clean and well-appointed. Our only complaint was the mattress. The bed creaked horribly whenever my husband moved. To lessen the noise, we switched sides and he slept more towards the middle. It was a comfortable bed, just noisy. The people there were welcoming and the breakfasts were... More

We arrived a little after 6:00 pm. The location is really spectacular, the views are wonderful. They need to trim the bushes on the road so the guest can really enjoy the views and getting in and out is a little tricky (but doable). We stayed in the Post Office room, it was spacious and comfortable. they advertise that they... More
