This is not a negative review of the Requa Inn, which is a lovely place to stay, as most of the reviews agree. However, since I trust Trip Advisor so much, I want to let all future customers know that the Requa Inn has started what seems to be a new policy of adding gratuities onto the bill. For example:... Stayed here a night. Service was fantastic. Room was comfortable and spacious. Really quaint old inn with beautiful views. Breakfast was included which was also great. Should have stayed an extra night to explore the area more. Loads of great trails around. There is a restaurant onsite which is open most days, check ahead of time.

The Historic Requa Inn is a charming old (1907) hotel on the Klamath River. It is in an excellent location for exploring the giant redwoods in the National Park. After a long day of hiking the trails the national park the Requa is just the place to relax. The rooms are individually furnished and they have old hotel charm. Additionally,... More

As some of the other reviews indicate, the Requa Inn is a real gem of a B&B style Inn. The location is amazing, overlooking the Klamath River. A real highlight for us, after a day of long hikes in the Redwoods, was grabbing a bottle of wine from the front desk, sitting on the porch and watching the wildlife action... More

We found this little gem on our trip out west to see the redwoods and we couldn't have been happier. Ideally located near many of the state parks which allows for great viewing of the old growth redwoods. The inn is situated right on the Klamath river with a very short drive and hike to the beach where the Klamath... More

To my delight, I saw an elk eating on the side of the road as I drove into town. As I pulled into the driveway and parked, a fat black and white cat rolled over begging for a belly rub as I opened the car door. After being politely welcomed and given inn navigational directions, I was delighted with my... More

We miss the Requa Inn - words I never thought I'd be typing. Yes, after spending 3 nights there last week, we find ourselves missing this historic inn which is now more than a century old. The inn is located right next to the road so do not be surprised when you first drive up. Assuming you do not have... More

So, here I am in the Requa Inn overlooking the wild Klamath River and surrounded by the majestic redwoods of Redwood National Park. The inn is friendly, comfortable, rustic, and peaceful. There are delightful sounds to rest the weary including wind in the trees and water tumbling down the creeks to the river. These, together with wonderful beds and down... More

Oh no! We are very sorry that you were unable to sleep because of worry about the escape ladders. Our rooms are equipped with ladders that are stored discreetly and we apologize that our staff wasn't aware where it was located in your room. Also rest assured that the owners live on site. So at minimum you would have Jan... More

When we drove up to the Inn, we did not know what was waiting for us. The innkeeper was an absolute gem, provided great information on things to do. And she made a mean breakfast! The room was comfortable but the bed itself- can you say - heavenly! Made for a very restful and peaceful night. Will definitely return when... More

Had a delightful stay on a dark and stormy night in December. Staff were wonderful! Wife and I wanted to stay at a historic inn on our trip down the coast and this 100 year-old place hit the spot. Old and rickety with antique furnishings and claw-foot tubs. Our room was large and spacious with a sitting area and river... More
