Had a fantastic stay here. It was my 2nd hostel. Service is great, very clean. Great value. Common areas are modern and pretty. Location is perfect to walk everywhere . They even had complimentary bikes to use. My only negative is the old uncomfy warped queen mattress on the squeaky loud shaky metal bunk bed. But big thumbs up and... More

We stayed in a family room at Hostel Tahoe. Check in was very easy and location was great - easy walk along King's Beach to cafés and restaurants etc. The hostel has been set up really well with easy shared facilities in the kitchen, good sized fridges and food storage, and a cozy lounge area. Free wifi, knowledgeable staff and... More

We stayed for two nights. There was a relaxed atmosphere and the communal space had a cozy lounge and well equipped kitchen. It's described as a hostel but it's just as good, or better than many hotel rooms. At the weekend the owner provided home made bread, muffins and granola for breakfast which was delicious. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed here for 2 nights during the Trans Tahoe relay. I was very pleasantly surprised with how clean everything was and how friendly the staff is. Free coffee (although it is suggested that you give some money to keep the staples stocked) and a lovely breakfast on Sat and Sun. Each room is uniquely decorated and very nice. I will... More

This hostel is a gem. It is so cute and quiet and the homemade breakfast was delicious. Much care goes into everything they do. Great common area and free bikes to borrow, great location and very clean. LOVED it!

Stayed here for two months during the winter of 2014. Can't say enough positive things about the place. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished (definitely the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at). Kitchen supplies were amazing. We always looked forward to the breakfasts on the weekends. The staff at hostel illustrate what a difference employees can make. Everyone... More

Spent 2 nights here in October 2013 and it was the perfect base for our trip up from San Francisco to explore Lake Tahoe. Great value for money, rooms are basic but clean and functional and we had a very good ensuite bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful, good kitchen and lounge facilities. We were lucky enough to enjoy the homemade... More

On the East side of Kings Beach it is in a great location for seeing the city. We stayed in the private queen on the backside of the hostel and it was really nice. Used to be a rundown motel but cleaned up good. Only downside for me is the proximity to 89 and Kings Beach road construction. U can... More

Stayed here for almost a month to train for the ironman in September. Its a very clean, social, green and lovely place to stay. The staff is very hard working and always busy, but also in for a nice social talk! Loved my stay here.. I really couldn't have found a better place to prepare myself for the race! Thank you... More
