For our first stay, it was a roomy space, nice balcony with table and chairs, great shower pressure, but bedspreads and carpets dirty and the walls paper thin and sounded like the family next door was in the same room. Lobby was cozy and had fresh coffee throughout the day. We made reservations a few months later for a second... more

We arrived from SF around 11pm to grab a room so that we could get up early and go biking the next day. Since we were only gonna be in the room for 8 hours and we are two guys, really who cares what the place is like as long as its clean, semi comfortable and safe. We checked in... more

My stay at this disgusting motel was a necessity due to all other hotels in the area being fully booked for Labor Day. Tahoe Inn jacked up the prices to follow suit, making terrible value even worse. The biggest problem was that by morning, our beds were covered in blood spots from our own blood, after a team of bed... more

We arrived with low expectations and still left disappointed. The staff is grumpy and unwelcoming. The rooms are dilapidated, smelly, and unpredictable. The legs on one nightstand would randomly fall off, sending the lamp and anything on the stand to the floor. There were few electrical outlets. The website advertises wireless internet, but it does not work. Most worrisome was... more

This place is truly the pits! It looks dirty from the moment you enter the office. We went in the summer, and there's no AC in any of the rooms. If you want to keep from baking, you have to leave the blinds open all night (nice if you enjoy the floodlights from the parking lot in your face as... more

I kept waiting for the vice squad to break down a door. It should be pay by the hour place. I was afraid to take my shoes off for fear of walking in unknown bodily fluids recently deposited by past customers. In fact there was a very wet spot in front of the bed side table! I was supposed to... more

You may "get what you pay for" but i don't think anyone wants to pay for filthy stained carpets/smell of smoke everywhere, mold and water damage ALL OVER the bathroom. We had read poor reviews of the place even during booking but we just needed a cheap place to stay for my daughter’s softball tournament. It lived up to all... more

Just like everyone else says, this place is run down. But when you consider the cost and the location it seems a whole lot better. Clean sheets, cable tv, and hot water showers. You cannot ask for much more when you are paying $25. My only suggestion is that you purchase some disposable earplugs for 50 cents. It does get... more

The Tahoe Inn is pretty run down and in high need of renovation, but our room was nice and spacious, our beds were comfortable and had clean sheets, and there was a hot shower with soap and towels in the bathroom. All in all, it was great value for the price: Only $29/night for a two queen room in our... more

Yes, the hotel is run down. I stayed there over Easter weekend in '09. We paid a whopping sum of $43 (including tax) for a 2 nights stay. The standard rate for a chain hotel like Holiday Inn Express was no lower than $110 for that same weekend. Tahoe Inn is a ridiculous savings! So, what do you get for... more
