Like another poster, I was a little surprised to see the young people working in the office. Obviously they are kids of the owner. It's a fact that in many immigrant families, everyone has to work to support the family. That in itself doesn't bother me. The people I dealt with seemed friendly and interested in helping me. The customer... more

I don't expect much from a Motel 6, and to tell the truth, the room itself was acceptable. But just one thing ticked me off... maybe two things. Rolled in around 10 p.m. and the person staffing the desk was obviously the owner's young daughter--like maybe 13 years old. She also appeared to be babysittying the rest of the young... more

1. Door-plate needed repair, it's loose and makes the door hard to open or shut. Had to slam it when we came back, waking the neighbors I'm sure! 2. Towel rack broken and missing. No towel racks in bathroom at all. Why hasn't this been fixed? 3. The fan/light for bathrooms makes so much noise that everytime anyone uses their... more

We stayed there for one night on the way to San Francisco. It's clean and basic, and at a very good rate that's not that much more than a private campground. I asked for a quiet room and got it. Really nothing to complain about if the criteria is a basic, clean room for a few nights in transit. more

My husband and I went to a three day Monterey Bay trip last weekend. On the second day, we stayed at this hotel. The motel was located in near the freeway and it was very convenient.. close to many fast food restaurants & Denny's. The room was very clean and the customer service was excellent. Very friendly and reliable workers. more

paid a pretty good price since all the hotels in the Monterey Peninsula area were $$$. Just needed a room for the night and just booked a day before. My friends and I were fine with the accomodations as there was nothing that irksome, but it was a no frills experience. Good overnight place, though free internet would've been awesome. more

I stay at this particular Motel 6 on regular trips between Santa cruz and Long Beach. While Motel 6 is without question a budget lodging, it tends to be far and away better than similar chain motels. The King City Motel 6 has been recently renovated, with butter yellow interior walls and bright, fun bedspreads that are like a collage... more

Sure, most all Motel 6's are basically the same, but that's the beauty of them. This particular one had a good price at 46 dollars for a friday nite, friendly service at check in and check out, and the room was a ok. Recommended for the budget traveler. more
