This was one of the cheaper places that I could find. The great advantage is that you get to use the Daiichi Takimotokan Hotel hot spring (located right across the street) for free whenever you want. It is also very near the Hell Valley walking trail. My room included breakfast and dinner which were not bad at all. The bathroom... More

Location of hotel is great, so near to places of interest and convenient distance to amenities. Free access to grand onsen just across the road is a bonus. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good value for money.

Noboribetsu onsen is a very small area. The hotels are situated along the very short shopping/restaurant street and the star attraction 'Hell Valley'. Takimoto Inn is one the closest to Hell Valley, and right across from big sister hotel Daiichi Takamotokan. It's a great deal to pay for Takamoto Inn and be able to enjoy free 24 hour onsen at... My room at Takimoto (610) Inn was clean and spacious. The room, part, that is. The bathroom was tiny. However, one of the biggest perks of staying at Takimoto Inn is complimentary access to the ginormous onsen across the street at the top-end Daiichi Takimotokan property. This onsen costs about 2000 yen per person for day-trippers! It is good that... More

The Takimoto Inn may be a little faded and basic when compared with the much nicer (and more expensive) hotels around it, but if you're in Noborobietsu, you're there for the onsen baths, and here's the secret - staying at Takimoto gives you access to all the same amazing baths in the pricier places nearby, included! Complimentary and discounted meals... More

Initially booked a nite, but extended it to 2 nites, as it's too much hassle to carry our luggages up & down Noboribetsu station, with just a nite stay. Hotel is towards the end, passing all the shops & restaurants, slightly uphill. Building is a bit old, but it's what we can afford, decent stay with meal. Also, we can... More

I can't say we were very impressed with the Takimoto Inn - it seemed very overpriced and poor value. On the good side, the location is excellent, right on the main shopping street, near shops and restaurants, and right across the street from the wonderful baths at the Dai Ichi. Also there is a geyser next to the hotel which... More

Since the town's pretty small, everything's within walking distance. Just follow the cobbled street towards park entrance, slight uphill climb but manageable with wheelies & backpacks. Inn was on the left, easily spotted by its colorful banners. Else watch out for the majestic Dai-ichi Takimotokan - inn's directly across. Trudged up a flight of earthy-red steps with luggage to reception... More

We went there during winter. The hotel is small but dinner is nice. All meals are provided. Breakfast is always the same, For lunch, you can choose between sandwiches ( comes with potato chips, kids will prefer this ) or curry rice ( curry is actually not spicy, just sweet. Adults may like this ) Dinner is the best! The food... More

The room is a little gloomy with very small toilet. The breakfast and dinnet was ok. Very near to "Hell valley" and some shops. The sister hotel opposite is bigger and better. The onsen is miserable but very quite. hardly anyone uses as you can go over to the sister hotel which has bigger onsen.
