I stayed at this place with my wife and my two-year old baby. the yukatas they provided were great, especially the toddler's. absolutely cute. but my building was too far from the onsen and the restaurant. speaking of the restautrant, the 3,000-yen dinner buffet is awful. just not worth it. we felt duped into buying it. the front desk insisted... Actually, it's OK. It offers everything according to what standard hotels would do. Only that i think it's too touristy. The staffs give good service but look quite stiff. It seems to lack of Japanese touch, liveliness and warmth. I had a better experience in other similar style of hotels with this price. Personally I like a smaller and more... More

We stayed in this hotel in May, the public bath is big and not too crowded. The hotel is a bit old but everything is fine -room is clean. The dinner is OK (various food). I think this is a good choice for family.

The onsen place is really amazing, Onsen heaven. Good location, walking distance to the Jikokudani. There is one small shrine near the hotel, you can visit the next day morning. Wifi in the lobby Only.

My wife and I chose this hotel partly because of its central location near Jigokudani. The hotel is large and commercial with many tour group visiting but it did not create any problem for us. Onsen is very large with 7 baths and not usually crowded and the hotel score high marks in that respect. Rooms are spacious, decorations a... More

Great large amazing Onsen; many outdoor hot-spring in a park; Hot-spring Lake (not for swimming or dipping, very high boiling acidic lake) This is a 4-5 star hotel and resort. The best thing in this hotel is the large Hot-spring (onsen) pools and bath which have sulfur smell. It has two levels of Onsen pools and various Jacuzzis. If you... More

I visited this hotel because of onsen. This hotel onsen facility is fabulous and we really had good time. But it was hard for me to find a place to have dinner around 6pm. Most restaurants around this hotel and inside this hotel(except reserved restaurants, I guess) provided dinner after 8:30 pm, so I had to buy foods in convenient... More

It was great three night stay at the hotel. Onsen was good, and Jigokudani (Hell Valley) which is just outside of the hotel was great to walk around. And quality of food at all-you-can-eat buffet was really good.
