The hotel is old and room has smell, it is a Japanese style room, we slept on the tatami with thick blankets, someone will made up beds for you while you are having dinner. We did not eat in our room, dinner was a buffet with about 30 kinds of food to choose from, breakfast was also buffet style. Onsen... More

We were brought to our Japanese style room at the main building upon check-in by a hotel staff in Kimono. She prepared and served us tea in our room. When we were out for dinner, they will come into our room to set the tatami. The blanket was a bit thick and we felt very warm in the middle of... More

The Japanese style rooms were beautiful and the staff would come at a pre arranged time to set up the bedding for you. The hotel is big and the onsen has many different kinds including outdoors. the onsen is 24 hr which means you can soak in it anytime you want. The onsen is seperated for men and women. The... More

The hotel is really spacious with rooms like ryokan's. Hot springs are located within the hotel premise, which is really huge and also outdoor pools, which is great for winter. Staff were pleasant and courteous. The buffet style dinner was really good, with a good variety of cuisines. A great vacation get away place.

I stayed at this place with my wife and my two-year old baby. the yukatas they provided were great, especially the toddler's. absolutely cute. but my building was too far from the onsen and the restaurant. speaking of the restautrant, the 3,000-yen dinner buffet is awful. just not worth it. we felt duped into buying it. the front desk insisted... Actually, it's OK. It offers everything according to what standard hotels would do. Only that i think it's too touristy. The staffs give good service but look quite stiff. It seems to lack of Japanese touch, liveliness and warmth. I had a better experience in other similar style of hotels with this price. Personally I like a smaller and more... More

We stayed in this hotel in May, the public bath is big and not too crowded. The hotel is a bit old but everything is fine -room is clean. The dinner is OK (various food). I think this is a good choice for family.

The onsen place is really amazing, Onsen heaven. Good location, walking distance to the Jikokudani. There is one small shrine near the hotel, you can visit the next day morning. Wifi in the lobby Only.

My wife and I chose this hotel partly because of its central location near Jigokudani. The hotel is large and commercial with many tour group visiting but it did not create any problem for us. Onsen is very large with 7 baths and not usually crowded and the hotel score high marks in that respect. Rooms are spacious, decorations a... More

Great large amazing Onsen; many outdoor hot-spring in a park; Hot-spring Lake (not for swimming or dipping, very high boiling acidic lake) This is a 4-5 star hotel and resort. The best thing in this hotel is the large Hot-spring (onsen) pools and bath which have sulfur smell. It has two levels of Onsen pools and various Jacuzzis. If you... More
