Stayed 2 nights in a traditional styled room in the main building. Opted for half board and glad we did. Wonderful meals at the Japanese restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. Had a relaxing time at the enormous onsen, especially enjoyed the outdoor onsen. The hotel is very close to Hell Valley and we enjoyed the amazing walks in... More

Having had amazing foodie experiences around Japan we were in for a rude shock at the hotel buffet which was paid extra for. The food is very average -we're talking Bain Marie food - and the atmosphere even worse with a large number of tour groups chattering in a canteen style setting. Not really what I was expecting from previous... More

Five star hotel, Fantastic onsen with large onsen pools, Onsen for ladies is separate than men. Fantastic breakfast and dinner (repeated everyday the same). The hotel is ner all attractions. The traditional village is about 10 min by bus. The bus station is near hotel. Staff are very friendly, courteous, polite, and very very helpful. Check in and check out... More

Stay in this resort for only one night which seems too short. A typically Japan style 5-star onsan resort. Fully equipped with everything, huge site, big onsan with various kind of water temperature. Japanese style guest room is a bit old, but who cares, since everyone spend their time enjoy other facilities. Resort itself is with easy access to eating... More

The hotel is old and room has smell, it is a Japanese style room, we slept on the tatami with thick blankets, someone will made up beds for you while you are having dinner. We did not eat in our room, dinner was a buffet with about 30 kinds of food to choose from, breakfast was also buffet style. Onsen... More

We were brought to our Japanese style room at the main building upon check-in by a hotel staff in Kimono. She prepared and served us tea in our room. When we were out for dinner, they will come into our room to set the tatami. The blanket was a bit thick and we felt very warm in the middle of... More

The Japanese style rooms were beautiful and the staff would come at a pre arranged time to set up the bedding for you. The hotel is big and the onsen has many different kinds including outdoors. the onsen is 24 hr which means you can soak in it anytime you want. The onsen is seperated for men and women. The... More

The hotel is really spacious with rooms like ryokan's. Hot springs are located within the hotel premise, which is really huge and also outdoor pools, which is great for winter. Staff were pleasant and courteous. The buffet style dinner was really good, with a good variety of cuisines. A great vacation get away place.

I stayed at this place with my wife and my two-year old baby. the yukatas they provided were great, especially the toddler's. absolutely cute. but my building was too far from the onsen and the restaurant. speaking of the restautrant, the 3,000-yen dinner buffet is awful. just not worth it. we felt duped into buying it. the front desk insisted... Actually, it's OK. It offers everything according to what standard hotels would do. Only that i think it's too touristy. The staffs give good service but look quite stiff. It seems to lack of Japanese touch, liveliness and warmth. I had a better experience in other similar style of hotels with this price. Personally I like a smaller and more... More
