We chose to stay here for a night because we wanted a private onsen experience for our first time in Japan, and we were not disappointed. To begin, accessing Ryotei Hanayura was easy because of the free shuttle bus from Sapporo TV Tower right to the doorstep of the hotel. Ryotei Hanayura was also one of the rare few ryokans... More

I came to this hotel right after another Ryokan Private Onsen, so with the higher price at this hotel than the previous one at Otaru, I hope to get something better...... However, I'm quite disappointed over the private onsen in the room which i booked...... I was looking for nice private onsen with a spectacular scenic view but the onsen... More

I felt very welcomed at this hotel. This hotel was a real Japanese style which I loved it a lot. That was what we were looking for in Japan. I stayed in a Japanese room with private outdoor onsen, it was simply amazing. The room was very clean, big and well-equipped, I loved a view from my room, so stunning.... More

The place is a bit dated but they still maintain it well and clean. But the most important thing when we go to a ryokan is the onsen. They have 5 different types of onsen and water temperatures. I like it because the onsen water in Noboribetsu is still a purely natural hot spring water. Dinner is luxurious and the... More

We were hesitant at first because of the high price, but in the end we were glad that we picked Hanayura for a splurge vacation. We stayed at a Japanese style room with a private open-air bath. The room was huge and had a sitting area by the window next to the private onsen. The real experience came during dinner... More

From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out, we were made to feel RIGHT AT HOME. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms very clean, comfortable and well equipped....just felt like home. The view and surroundings were mesmerizing. The hotel is also located very conveniently to the nearby volcanic sights like Oyunuma and Jigokudani. The hotel staff were... More

We took the free shuttle service from Sapporo to Ryotei Hanayura. The staff came out to get our luggage even before we got off the shuttle. Loved the Japanese style room with a private onsen. The room was spacious, clean and neat. They served our dinners in the room and were so ever attentive. Although the staff who served us... More

We visited Hanayura as part of a minimoon. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the manager who came running out of the door to help us with our luggage. We chose to have the full Japanese experience with a traditional tatami floor. The room was absolutely huge, clean and very attractively laid out. We also had a... More

Ryotei Hanayura is a smaller ryokan that is connected to its bigger sister Hotel Mahoroba via an interior walkway. A free shuttle bus runs daily between Sapporo and the hotels. We traveled from Lake Toya, and took a cab from the bus terminal to the hotel. While still in the cab, we saw the manager came out to take our... More
