Stayed here for 2 nights with another couple and we each took the rooms with its own onsen. The hotel was easy to find and was well located near lots of eating places and local attractions. Check in was fast and painless and our car was parked by the staff just outside the hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly... More

We totally enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very welcoming. We stayed in a Japanese style room with tatami mats and futons. Although we had a private bath on the balcony, the main onsen was fabulous so your own bath is a luxury. Dinners were a highlight and staff go out of their way to provide a memorable experience. Food... More

A good size Japanese styled room with tatami and futon. Free shuttle bus from Sapporo TV Tower. Dinner is served in the room. Fantastic spread of locally produced food, especially seafood. It took about 1.5 to 2 hours. Got to enjoy. Served by the same lady for the two nights. She came to bring our luggage to the bus and... More

I thought long and hard about my side trip to Noboribetsu before writing this review. Did I truly enjoy my trip? The answer is yes...but, in some ways, disappointing. I was expecting the usual quaint town nestled in the mountains. Instead, I found hoards of tourists strolling down a less-than-exciting scenery and Main Street. The same disappointment applies to Hanayura.... More

We chose to stay here for a night because we wanted a private onsen experience for our first time in Japan, and we were not disappointed. To begin, accessing Ryotei Hanayura was easy because of the free shuttle bus from Sapporo TV Tower right to the doorstep of the hotel. Ryotei Hanayura was also one of the rare few ryokans... More

I came to this hotel right after another Ryokan Private Onsen, so with the higher price at this hotel than the previous one at Otaru, I hope to get something better...... However, I'm quite disappointed over the private onsen in the room which i booked...... I was looking for nice private onsen with a spectacular scenic view but the onsen... More

I felt very welcomed at this hotel. This hotel was a real Japanese style which I loved it a lot. That was what we were looking for in Japan. I stayed in a Japanese room with private outdoor onsen, it was simply amazing. The room was very clean, big and well-equipped, I loved a view from my room, so stunning.... More

The place is a bit dated but they still maintain it well and clean. But the most important thing when we go to a ryokan is the onsen. They have 5 different types of onsen and water temperatures. I like it because the onsen water in Noboribetsu is still a purely natural hot spring water. Dinner is luxurious and the... More

We were hesitant at first because of the high price, but in the end we were glad that we picked Hanayura for a splurge vacation. We stayed at a Japanese style room with a private open-air bath. The room was huge and had a sitting area by the window next to the private onsen. The real experience came during dinner... More

From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out, we were made to feel RIGHT AT HOME. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms very clean, comfortable and well equipped....just felt like home. The view and surroundings were mesmerizing. The hotel is also located very conveniently to the nearby volcanic sights like Oyunuma and Jigokudani. The hotel staff were... More
