We stayed there for 2 nights in August. The place is good, meet all the standard of a Japanese onsen ryokan. The breakfast was good, especially the raw shrimps and salmon roes. We had a room with private bath on the balcony. This is good for my girlfriend. Personally I like the big public bath pools.

We stayed at Hanayura following a recommendation from our travel agent. The choice was fantastic. The japanese rooms are very spacious, with a magnificent private onsen on the balcony. They staff is very friendly and we had the best japanese dinner of my life at the restaurant on the basement. The public onsen is also great!

We booked a Japanese-Western room with individual outdoor baths for 3 of us. It's so big, one side is a Japanese style room with tatami and the other is a western style room with 2 twin beds, a huge living room connecting these 2 rooms. This room has 2 toilets and bathroom, capable for 4-5 persons Staffs were friendly and... More

Nice and very warm welcomed staff. The room is very spacious, decorated with Japanese style, but has no air conditioner. The room was quite hot in the afternoon, but we opened the onsen door. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. We had a dinner in private room.

Stayed here for 2 nights with another couple and we each took the rooms with its own onsen. The hotel was easy to find and was well located near lots of eating places and local attractions. Check in was fast and painless and our car was parked by the staff just outside the hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly... More

We totally enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very welcoming. We stayed in a Japanese style room with tatami mats and futons. Although we had a private bath on the balcony, the main onsen was fabulous so your own bath is a luxury. Dinners were a highlight and staff go out of their way to provide a memorable experience. Food... More

A good size Japanese styled room with tatami and futon. Free shuttle bus from Sapporo TV Tower. Dinner is served in the room. Fantastic spread of locally produced food, especially seafood. It took about 1.5 to 2 hours. Got to enjoy. Served by the same lady for the two nights. She came to bring our luggage to the bus and... More

I thought long and hard about my side trip to Noboribetsu before writing this review. Did I truly enjoy my trip? The answer is yes...but, in some ways, disappointing. I was expecting the usual quaint town nestled in the mountains. Instead, I found hoards of tourists strolling down a less-than-exciting scenery and Main Street. The same disappointment applies to Hanayura.... More

We chose to stay here for a night because we wanted a private onsen experience for our first time in Japan, and we were not disappointed. To begin, accessing Ryotei Hanayura was easy because of the free shuttle bus from Sapporo TV Tower right to the doorstep of the hotel. Ryotei Hanayura was also one of the rare few ryokans... More
