We only stayed one night at the Noboribetsu Grand Hotel. It's well located, just opposite the bus stop (however, the public transports from the nearest train station are not very frequent). The lobby is spacious and elegant, however the tatami room we got needs a refurbishment although it's convenient. The chairs and the table near the window are old fashioned.... More

Noboribetsu is famous for onsen so onsen was a major criterion when we chose the hotel. Noboribetsu Grand Hotel did not disappoint us. Its outdoor onsen with a waterfall and rocks covered with snow is unbeatable! It looks the same as the photos shown on the hotel website. It is also one of the more affordable onsen hotels in Noboribetsu.... More

The location is good, just a couple of minutes away from the bus terminal. No check in allowed until 3pm and checkout is at 10am. There is a big indoor onsen and a couple of small outdoor pools. Probably as I arrived at this hotel from a ski resort, where the outdoor onsen has a nice winter back drop, I... More

We had a large green tea shaded room. It was very comfortable. The service was outstanding, not only did they bell us to our room, but they provided us with a welcome treat. We loved the private onsen. This was a great location to see all the sites of Noboribetsu and go hiking. Our room came with breakfast and dinner.... More

We stayed at the hotel for a few nights at the end of our trip to Japan in June. The location is good, and the lobby welcoming. The rooms, however, are very basic. The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke the whole time, even though we had a (supposedly) non-smoking room. Fixtures and furnishings were old and tired, and the whole... More

I highly recommend this hotel for several reasons: 1. superb location, being just opposite the bus station. Very convenient especially you are getting into the onsen town from Noboribetsu JR station 2. excellent spectacular onsen: there are so many different baths including outdoor ones 3. good breakfast 4. reasonable price, very good value for money The rooms were clean and... Disclaimer: I didn't actually stay at this hotel per se, I only used the day spa facilities, so this review is only based on the onsen, which I recieved unlimited access to for only 1500 yen (approx 15 US dollars). What a bargain! The indoor bath area was spacious and filled with natural light pouring in from the ceiling, and... More

One thing you must do if you don't smoke is book a non smoking room! This a must as many tour groups and other vistors can make the room smell if you don't ugh! Fortunately, I remembered to do this and my room had a sweet wicker smell to it. The baths are not that plentiful, but good to try... More

I arrived at about 10am as I just checked out of Dai-ichimotokan and hoped to check in smoothly as I did for Dai-ichi the previous day. Unfortunately, I was denied checking in before 3pm and the male front desk staff was not helping me much and even lied to me about the room situation. At first he told me no... More

Good location to visit Noboribetsu Jigokudani Park. 15minutes (or less) walk to the Park. Very reasonable pricing. Wonderful buffet at dinner time, and also at breakfast. You can enjoy as much as you can eat crabs, sushi, steaks, Tempura etc. Sometimes they show how to cook Tuna in front of you! Onsen (hot spring) is a very good quality one.... More
