This is a very sterile, modern, spacious hotel. It does not feel like a ryokan and more like a hotel. This place has absolutely no character or charm -- this could be a hotel in Hong Kong or anywhere else in the world. We paid 33,000 Yen per person for a triple-occupancy Luxury Suite including breakfast and kaiseki dinner (came... More

Pros: Great service, awesome food, amazing and big rooms, beautiful surroundings around the hotel and complimentary parking. Cons: Very old and rusty shower head and expensive rooms. My husband and I stayed here for a night while on our honeymoon in Hokkaido. As we got a room with a private onsen, it was very costly and we decided that we... More

We arrived the hotel around 18:00 which the surrounding area is completely dark. We took the shuttlebus from the airport to hotel, it takes around 1 hour from CTS airport to hotel. When we get off the Bus, we see staff coming for us. All the hotel staff are polite and they are very helpful. The only thing to improve... More

Stayed a night in takinoya for a night prior to Boro. We paid the same price for similar class rooms. The room was twice the size and most importantly they had your OWN hot spring bath in room. Food was much better for both dinner and breakfast be it the western or Japanese selection as I tried both. Otherwise the... More

If one wants to have a relaxing holiday, this is a place you must come. The hotel doesn't have a grand look or entrance. We had to walk through two automatic wooden doors to the reception area from the carpark. But, once we were in, we could feel the serenity of the whole establishment. We had a junior suite for... Had a chance to stay one night before check-in Takinoya. Hotel is great, room is too spacious, private onsen. Will you really make your own tea or take a drink or stay in the onsen? Restaurant is in the second floor. You will pick your dinner time at 18:30 or 19:30. Breakfast time is every 30 minutes, so no hurry.... More

I LOVE everything in this hotel: - Spacious room with its own living room, huge beds, private corridor, and in-room onsen! Everything in the fridge is free. Lots of amenities for you to enjoy your room. - Tasty and unique breakfast + dinner experience in a set-up dining room with your own waiters to assist you... - Even though hotel... More

A room which you would never believe that it exists in Japan given its size! We stayed here for a night and we refused to leave the room as it felt totally like home! The only times we left the room were for dinner and breakfast! Rooms were designed in a contemporary style with its own in-room onsen. We loved... More

This is a contemporary-styled ryokan. The exterior of the hotel was not remarkable but the hotel entrance was pretty cool. After we checked-in, the front staff gave us a quick tour of the lounge, bar and library, all at the lobby level. These facilities were okay though not particularly noteworthy. Our room was very nice and spacious, as expected of... More

Truly the best private onsen in Noboribetsu! We stayed here 2 nights followed by a night in Takinoya. Although Takinoya is rated number 1 this hotel beats it hands down by a factor of 2 to 3 times. The hotel is a beautiful modern Japanese architecture with beautiful minimalist design. The standard suite room is huge, probably about 1000sf, with... More
