So many pools in the bathhouse, indoor and out. Try to do as many baths as possible: before dinner, after dinner and morning. I really wish I had more time in the morning at the outdoor onsen for the view and experience: taking a bath outdoor. i never showered in my room once during my trip to Hokkaido whenever there... -- Rooms are decent in terms of size and cleanliness. Most come with the tatami set-up though -- Two levels of indoor onsen pools (more than a dozen in total). A couple of outdoor ones -- Buffet breakfast and dinners are not bad. There isn't much to eat in this town so it's better to get rooms bundled with meals... More

Conveniently located in quaint part of town. Traveled in a tour group. Dinner buffet included crab feast. Steak and broiled scallops were excellent. Best onset resort overall! Rooms were large and two single beds were more than spacious. Free wifi in room. Gift store carried a variety and we found nice souvenirs and sweet and salty treats to bring home.... More

We stayed in Japanese style room, which is wonderful. Smell of nature from tatami mat. At night living area turn to be bedroom space. Even though the room is quite old, but it is clean. The bed cushion is so comfy. We love hot spring here. There are many pools with various kind of minerals and different temperature for outdoor... More

Stayed there with my family of 5 for 2 nights last December. Location wise, it was conveniently located. Although most of the staff could not speak great English, but nevertheless they were very helpful and courteous. Onsen was great and the hotel is certainly thoughtful enough to rotate the onsens among the male and female onsen-users in order for both... More

The hotel is big and with many indoor and outdoor Onsens. The buffet dinner included 3 kinds f crab legs, Japanese beef steak and seafood. It was a good value for money. The hotel is big and with a lot of tourist, wasn't a quiet Onsen hotel.

My wife and I stayed here last week and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I was wary before checking-in because of a few previous (negative) reviews but it turned out our experience here was positive. The tatami room was nice and cosy. Dressing up for dinner in the yukata provided was fun. The buffet dinner had a lot of choice, so... More

If you're staying here, don't take the buffet dinner, get the kaiseki dinner course. It was delicious. There were at least 10 dishes/courses, and a whole lot of crab. (They served a portion each of 3 types - snow crab, hairy crab and spiny crab). We were so stuffed most of us couldn't finish! There were also portions of grilled... More

The hotel Onsen was great. Since they have both indoor and outdoor available from early morning till late. The hotel is located in the valley with a small village where we can walk out to visit the local shop and also the the valley where the hot spring is located. If you lucky also you can spot a deer (I... More

This is our 3rd ryokan during the trip. Though many reviewers mentioned the outdoor onsen here is awesome, the heavy rain stopped us from trying it out. The ryokan lobby is quite nice but the room is just average. The food is average (breakfast is somewhat better than dinner) and the rooms are average, too. Our bathroom however, had some... More
