Stayed a night in a Japanese-style room with straw tatami mat and futon a week plus ago. It was early spring in Japan with sakura booming in Tokyo but still very cold in Hokkaido, with night temperature dropping to 0 degrees Celcius (at night) or less. Remnant of thick snow-covered ground still present. This hotel have 31 hot spring baths... More

Getting naked in a public onsen was rather frightening for me, but I loved it! There are indoor and outdoor onsens, going to the outdoor onsen in the winter is quite fun, but some may not be able to stand the brief(will hit you like a slap in your face) cold walk outside before entering the pool. The hot spring... More

There are not many choices at Noboribetsu area. I personally feel that this hotel is more suitable for those group package tourist and not for FIT traveler. This hotel with outdated decor as well as the rooms, bathroom n etc. There is no wifi in the room. Though the wifi is available at the main lobby, but you wont get... More

It was our honeymoon to Japan and we went on a free and easy trip. Noboribetsu was at the countryside and hard to find. Got there late at 9pm and missed our included buffet dinner. Staff was unempathetic and could not speak English at all. We asked for 1 hour extra check out but staff rejected flatly even after we... More

We stayed for one night in Dec 2013. We arrived from Sapporo in a bus and the staff rushed out to help us with the luggage. The tatami room which japanican.com allowed us to book for 4 persons is a bit crammed. The person who stayed near the fridge AND windows (me unfortunately) will have to put up with the... More

Had the tatami room. Not very big, but I guess that's Japan for you. The toilet and bath area are separated and are both quite small. After dinner when you return to your room, you will find your beds nicely laid out. Cross the road and walk straight up the small slope you will come to a small street of... More

Nothing really stands out at this onsen hotel that would set it apart from the others in this area, besides the outdoor onsen. Among the four onsen hotels I have stayed in recent years, this hotel has the biggest one. And being in an outdoor onsen in winter is a very special experience which I enjoyed. The outdoor onsen at... More

The hotel provide more than 8 different type of hot natural water. Good onsen experience. Hotel have nice japanese set dinner with varieties of crap. Should not miss. For those who never try onsen, should try insen in Mahoroba hotel. Very professional onsen both indoor and outdoor with nice greenary view.

Was in a tatami style room, room was nice and clean. At first, am a little bit disappointed because the bed was not set (very tired then, wish to just jump to the bed), but was suggest by the staff to go relax at the Onsen, then head straight for dinner. When we finished, the bed already been set up............. More
