My wife and I stayed here last week and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I was wary before checking-in because of a few previous (negative) reviews but it turned out our experience here was positive. The tatami room was nice and cosy. Dressing up for dinner in the yukata provided was fun. The buffet dinner had a lot of choice, so... More

If you're staying here, don't take the buffet dinner, get the kaiseki dinner course. It was delicious. There were at least 10 dishes/courses, and a whole lot of crab. (They served a portion each of 3 types - snow crab, hairy crab and spiny crab). We were so stuffed most of us couldn't finish! There were also portions of grilled... More

The hotel Onsen was great. Since they have both indoor and outdoor available from early morning till late. The hotel is located in the valley with a small village where we can walk out to visit the local shop and also the the valley where the hot spring is located. If you lucky also you can spot a deer (I... More

This is our 3rd ryokan during the trip. Though many reviewers mentioned the outdoor onsen here is awesome, the heavy rain stopped us from trying it out. The ryokan lobby is quite nice but the room is just average. The food is average (breakfast is somewhat better than dinner) and the rooms are average, too. Our bathroom however, had some... More

My bf and I arrived late afternoon hoping to get a nice dinner and enjoy the in room hot spring afterwards, but the dinner included was terrible, it was the worse food I tried in Japan!! It's like an insult to Japan food and also humiliated Hokkaido famous for food title. We end up going out to one BBQ the... More

This is an average to visit if you just want to "sorta" explore Noboribetsu. They provide shuttle service from Sapporo, which is nice. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants, and only about 5 minutes walk to Hell's valley. Hell's Valley is the highlight of this area, a must visit! Apart from all that, what you get is an... This hotel is in the town of Noboribetsu which is famous for its onsen. We got to stay in a traditional Japanese room, ryokan style. The dining table in the room will be put aside by the housekeeping staff in the evening when you are having dinner, and by the time you finish dinner your Japanese style Futon bed will... More

This hotel is in a pretty central location and is a short walk to practically all the attractions in Noboribetsu. The Japanese-layout room is not particularly large especially for a family of 4 but the onsen and dinner more than made up for it. There are several pools in the onsen, each with different mineral content and water temperatures. The... More
