Choose the room rates which includes the hotel dinner buffet. You will not regret it. It offers a wide variety of quality dishes. The star if the buffet is their seafood. However, equal attention is placed on the preparation for eg ramen or beef steak, which are the side liners. They taste equally superb! Coupled with the various in-house onsen,... More

Simply love this hotel. There's a old world charm about this hotel. Nice wall paper at the lobby, and even the lift lobby at the room levels were very traditional and nice. We had tatami rooms which the kids just love. Upon check in we changed into the yukata that they provided n went for the buffet dinner which has... More

This hotel is the last stop of our trip. We found that there are many shuttles actually going from the new Chitose airport to this hotel area and actuall you can be the first stop instead of the last stop when planning to go here. We picked a japanese room and it look big as it didn't has anything in... More

Good place and location. Near 7-11 Supermarket and Bear Park. Not so far from Jigokudani. I has stay 1 night for room with private onsen (Room has both Japanese and Western-style bed). I recommend for book room via Japanese website due to you will have more choice for room type and dinner. Will be back next year!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was comfortable with futon laid out for us every night when we went for dinner. The restaurant was more like a humongous dining hall with buffet tables set up at different corners. The dinner was wonderful and I really enjoyed the sashimi, 3 types of crabs and grilled scallops. Breakfast... More

Good onsen hotel. Felt the healing effects the moment i stepped into the water, makes the other onsen hotels pale in comparison. Good selection of buffet, quite delicious. There is a small shopping strip near the hotel too. Would be happy to go back to this hotel again the next time I'm in the noribetsu area.

Very relaxing. Everything was great- the location is just perfect. Close to 7-11 and other souvenir shops and restaurants. The onsen is great with several pools and very good facilities. The food is the best. Seafood buffet dinner with all you can eat crabs, meats, variety of food and desserts! One night in Noboribetsu is enough as it is a... More

Like any Japanese hotel, the place is nice and clean, and staff are helpful and polite. There's no western rooms here, that means you'll have to sleep on futon. When you first check into the room, you'll see a small coffee table with small seats. Staff will do a turn down for you when you go for your dinner, and... More

Great for relax with many types of onsen. Varieties of buffet include Alaska king crab. The room is ryokan type that we can feel typical Japanese style .The hotel is close to Hell valley. We really enjoy it!

We stayed two nights in Hotel Mahoroba. As in all previous reviews, the buffet dinner is the best. Location of the hotel is good too with shops just outside and only about 15 mins walk to the Hell Valley. The hotel is a bit old and will be better with some renovation to upgrade it. Most of the staff are... More
