I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was comfortable with futon laid out for us every night when we went for dinner. The restaurant was more like a humongous dining hall with buffet tables set up at different corners. The dinner was wonderful and I really enjoyed the sashimi, 3 types of crabs and grilled scallops. Breakfast... More

Good onsen hotel. Felt the healing effects the moment i stepped into the water, makes the other onsen hotels pale in comparison. Good selection of buffet, quite delicious. There is a small shopping strip near the hotel too. Would be happy to go back to this hotel again the next time I'm in the noribetsu area.

Very relaxing. Everything was great- the location is just perfect. Close to 7-11 and other souvenir shops and restaurants. The onsen is great with several pools and very good facilities. The food is the best. Seafood buffet dinner with all you can eat crabs, meats, variety of food and desserts! One night in Noboribetsu is enough as it is a... More

Like any Japanese hotel, the place is nice and clean, and staff are helpful and polite. There's no western rooms here, that means you'll have to sleep on futon. When you first check into the room, you'll see a small coffee table with small seats. Staff will do a turn down for you when you go for your dinner, and... More

Great for relax with many types of onsen. Varieties of buffet include Alaska king crab. The room is ryokan type that we can feel typical Japanese style .The hotel is close to Hell valley. We really enjoy it!

We stayed two nights in Hotel Mahoroba. As in all previous reviews, the buffet dinner is the best. Location of the hotel is good too with shops just outside and only about 15 mins walk to the Hell Valley. The hotel is a bit old and will be better with some renovation to upgrade it. Most of the staff are... More

Has a nice large restaurant featuring lots of crabs and other seafood. They have many rooms for eating and sectioned tatami seating areas as well as dining in the general eating area. WIFI only in the lobby.

The hotel is massive and service is very efficient. On the flip side of the coin service is not very personal compared to the smaller onsen hotels. Our room faced the main street/bear farm, so it was relatively an open view on the eighth floor. The room was very spacious with a sitting and a tatami area and had its... More

Hotel quite run down, its time to renovate. Hot spring not bad. Shift between male and female to ensure both sex are able to enjoy all the hot spring. Dinner is the best! Its a buffet dinner, huge varieties available. Breakfast average compare to dinner

Highly recommend the hot spring here. I stayed with my family on a cold day in early June. What a perfect weather for having hot spring here. Room was spacious with living room area. Food was great as well. Grilled scallop was one of the favourite dishes I liked.
