We first stayed in the log cabin in Karuizawa Prince Hotel East back in 2009. We paid SGD750+ for the log cabin for 2 adults and 2 kids with breakfast and ski passes for 3 nights and never used the ski passes much to our eternal regret. In April this year, a bout of work escapism had me doing a... More

Was luck enough to book a cottage at the last minute stayed at 575 for 3 nights cottages are clean with two rooms with two twin beds. Family room is too small and you need to share the kitchen and the vanity sink. Also it was a bit expensive but worth the money as the cottage is within 5 minute... More

December 16, 2014: We flew into Narita airport, got the Kanto train pass... then to Tokyo Station on the Narita Express.. then onto Karuizawa on the Shinkansen. Two hours on the trains. At Karuizawa station, there's a complimentary green shuttle bus close to 7Eleven that goes directly to the hotel; about 7 min ride every half hour. This shuttle is... More

We stayed 2 nights here on 7-9 Dec 2014. The room is very cozy, clean and great chance of gathering for the family! The warmer provided in the room is warm enough for cold weather. We feel so much at home and the quietness from the hustle bustle city feels great to relax! We will surely come back again!

The location of this hotel is fantastic. We were booked into 2 log cabins, very close to the reception. Check in was easy and they have internal transport around the massive grounds with electric mini vans driving people around. We were so close to everything we didn't need this though. The log cabins were a bit dated perhaps, but everything... More

We got a cottage at Karuizawa Prince Hotel East. It is convenient to get to the slopes and to the restaurants in the hotel complex or to the old village. When we arrived at the train station, there was a shuttle bus pickup. In the main hotel lobby however it was chaotic, filled with skiers and their ski sets. Those... More

This hotel should have got a 4-star easily but 2 stars taken away due to their arrangement under the snow weather condition. Arrived at 20:00 on a delayed train due to heavy snow 2 days ago. Information from hotel website indicated that a good 10-15 mins walk from the train station to hotel so we did prepare to go on... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Karuizawa East hotel, and found it convenient for families and for skiing. Will recommend it for families or beginner skiers. Highlights: - ski in/ski out facilities. Only Steps away from the hotel lobby are the chairlifts! - several ski shops for rental, ski lessons close to the hotel, but figuring out the options wasn't... More

We stayed 2 nights, Apr 10 & 11, 2013 at this hotel. It looks like the hotel was built a long time ago but it is generally well kept & maintained. Staff were very nice. The hot spring is of a moderate size. You can get a view of the trees and mountain. This is the only hotel that has... More

Good location, near train station and outlet. Convenient shuttle bus service from station. About 40 minutes walk to Karuizawa main street, but most of them were closed during the winter time. Originally we booked the double room, but we were very lucky to be upgraded to the cottage with two bedrooms and a lounge. Kids can play the snow outside.... More
