Have stayed here a number of times, always enjoying good service and always going home happy. The East has less number of rooms vs West, and is feels more private. You can go to the restaurants around the resort by van and its very easy. Recommended for weekend stays traveling from Tokyo.

In the walking distance, there are severeal ski slopes. When you are tired, you stop skiing and enjoy shopping in the biggest outlet mall in Japan nest to the hotel. Excellent hotspring. Right next to the outlet which is cool. This hotel is close to everything. I stayed in room instead of cottage, very good. East hotel is much better than the West one.

I chose cottage. The room is nice and warm. The cottage is 10 minutes walk from lobby and ski area. Shuttle bus was available on call without charge.
