My family and I stayed over @ the Meitetsu Inuyama as part of our "annual onsen pilgrimage" to Nihon aka Japan. We have had different onsen experiences before and the Meitetsu falls somewhere in the middle in our books. General Impressions: the hotel seemed to be build late 80s to mid-90s. We were there last summer for a night, we enjoyed sleeping in futon over tatami. I loved the thermal bath but we disliked the kaiseki dinner. Fortunately there were a lot of food and drink machines so you can have a cold beer after the hot bath! It's good for a lazy holiday!

It is located at the base of the hill on which the Inuyama Castle, an original dating from 1519 is sited, well worth seeing. The "old" quarter is probably no older than mid-Showa era... More

Nice hotel. Not luxurious but very well kept. The hot springs are wonderfull within a zen garden. It has a convenience store quite handy. I would recommed it.
