I liked very much this hotel because it is a typical chinese building, with nice rooms. I have to tell you that we were among friends and none of our three rooms had air condicioner working. I did not complain with the front desk because I did not miss much the use of it. So I do not know if... More

Our room is quite comfortable. There are two bathrooms and a living area. The bed is firm and comfortable. The very dim lights in the black-tiled bathrooms make it hard to see. Of our five day stay at the Grand Kylin, coffee was available on one day. There was no bar/lounge. In fact, the dining area was the only auxiliary... More

Had a short but very pleasant stay here. Service was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nicely done, with a number of choices, including cooked-to-order noodles (and eggs). Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. Public spaces are very elegant. Location was an easy walk from the south gate entrance of the city wall, and not too far from... More

The design of the hotel is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly especially Sara the Sales & Marketing Manager who speaks English fluently. The building was formerly a very prestigious school and the architect who redesigned it as a hotel won a National Chinese Design award for it. We stayed for 2 nights and on the first... More

Very nice and clean rooms. We got an unexpected upgrade to a beautiful suite. Sara at the reception in very helpful; she is very nice and speaks English. Bad wi fi in the rooms; breakfast should have more western options. Excellent location. Everything is within a walking distance. Spend no more than two days.

We stayed in the very modern & beautiful Kylin Grand Hotel in Pingyao in an Executive Suite with was really luxurious with two toilets. We found the front desk staff to have no English skills. We had to use our excellent English speaking guide (Peyton -Hou Peng - peyton163@gmail.com) several times to help us to resolve minor problems. The Hotel... More

We are a family of four who just came back from our vacation in Pingyao and we stayed there for one night. We booked through a Chinese travel website which is called the Ctrip. We booked two queen size bed rooms and it costs us 880Rmb per night. The nice things about this hotel is the location and the service.... More

It is a chinese hotel, with good international standard. Wifi connection is free, the rooms are very big and well furinished. Our bathroom was big and with a great shower, unfortunatelly was a bit dark. The staff is very helpfull, but they do not speal english at all. It is in front of Confucio's temple, inside the ancient city and... More

This hotel is a wonderful blend of western and Chinese. First the location inside the city walls of Pingyao could not be better. The decor and breakfast lean toward being Chinese which only makes sense because Pingyao is not in a westernized area. The bathrooms were western, though, which is all-important! The beds were a bit hard by western standards but... More

Excellent location in the old city. Very friendly, early check-in possible. The manager speaks English, and responded quickly to our e-mails prior to our travel. He even organized to buy our “hard-to-get” train tickets to Luoyang. Well appointed rooms. Seems to have less Western tourist than other hotels in the old town.
