stayed here for one night, a few days ago. kinda wished we'd looked at trip advisor beforehand but alas, we didn't. i’m literally covered in bed bug bites. had to get all clothes and sheets washed afterwards, so probably ended up paying more than 3 dollars for this itchy, sweaty nights sleep. the toilet in our room was blocked and... When I first walked into Utopia, I seriously thought I was at a college frat party. There were drinking games, graffiti on the wall and people smoking weed. I have never stayed at a hostel before so I didn't know what to expect. I checked out the dorm rooms and immediately knew I was never going to stay there. The... More

But I did not stay there. I used the pub, and at happy hour they were serving 25 cent drinks. Most people bought four at a time for a dollar. At other times drink was still cheap. The music is good and the pool tables free. There are food outlets all around the pub that will deliver in the pub.... More

With this place you definatly get what you pay for. I checked in late in the evening (thank god for the less time i spent in there) and left at about 6.30am the next morning. The staff didn't have any change for me when I tried to pay, I couldn't find a single bathroom that didn't have vomit or poo... More

We check in, we went to re room and utomaticly decided to check out since people in the room told me there was bed bugs. We had to pay 3usd a night plus 5usd of deposit and they didn't wanted to give us anything back. I talked to the receptionist and asked for the manager and she said "look for... More

Yes it's cheap, 2$ for a fan dorm and 3$ for an AC dorm, but the ac is only on at night which it is a sauna during the day, that I can live with, then for bed sheets and a pillow case I had to ask several times after 4 and finally got a bed cover at 9:30 ..... More

The absolute worst accomodation we've experienced in SE Asia. For a couple of relaxed kiwi backpackers that don't expect much - this "accomodation" couldn't even provide the basic necessities of a working toilet, lights or lockers (the ones provided were broken). we were thrown semi clean sheets to make our own beds after dealing with the dirty laundry (underwear and... We had the worst night ever in this hostel! It is really cheap (2$ per bed), but the room was dark and dirty, the staff was rude and in the end wie slept outside because we got bitten like crazy... I would never go there again in my life!

Dirty, dark, depressing. At $3/night it's my own fault for being cheap. I wouldn't swim in the pool if I was paid to. It's a short walk to the jetty where you catch the speedboat to Kho Rong which is why we stayed. One night is too many, stay out as long as you can otherwise head down to Otres... More

This is a most horrible place I've ever stayed. The cheapest dorm room is 2$/night. Of course with a 2$ bed I didn't expect much, but it was far worse than I imagined. A stuffy, foul-smelling dorm room with the bed sheets infested with bugs, lice and insects, woke up at night to hear other travellers scratching their bodies like... More
