First off let me say I have been coming up to kernville for more than 25 years and I have been staying at the Falling Waters River Resort for at least 20 years, Ok so we decide to come up to falling waters in August for a family get-away called the office and I asked the lady if the river... More

Let me start with maybe the most important thing: the people at this resort are the nicest folks. In fact, the folks in Kernville are just plain friendly. And the resort is out of the town, nestled between a campground and the water district. Very quiet. Squirrels and birds abound. Great place to bring a dog. We stayed in rooms... More

I don't even think it deserves one star rating. It is terrible at falling waters. not only is the decoration bad, but there is nothing but bugs in the room, the shower keeps clogging up. I decided to sleep in my car it was terrible.

We stay in Kernville frequently and our most favorite place to stay is Chuck Richard's Falling Waters River Resort. Chuck and his staff are always helpful and have lots of great tips and local knowledge. Rooms are all different and decorated in a wonderfully eclectic style. The resort is right on a very beautiful section of the Kern River. The... More

Before we even arrived in America, Chuck was emailing us back and forth with suggestions on where to stay and what to visit on our 3 week road trip around California. So I left a little bit disappointed in the standard accomodation at Falling Waters. We were greeted by bunk beds with plastic mattresses, the kitchen had gaps where the... More

My husband and I have been staying at Falling Waters Inn for the past nine years. We always reserve the same room during Whiskey Flat Days. Each room has a different theme. The people who run the place are great, we have never had a problem. The room we have is clean and inviting. I would recommend this place to... More

The room and set-up was better than we were expecting. The room was shaded by mulberry trees, the courtyard in front had a BBQ and it was pleasant to sit outside our room and listen to the river. We went up on a Friday and the place was very quiet. The staff greeted us in a friendly and helpful manner,... More

We have stayed at Falling Waters Resort several times- the past 6 years. Clean cottages, wood burning fireplaces, picnic tables, bbq's, full kitchen...all that...and right on the River- and we can bring our 2 dogs! A delightful- no BS- relaxing place to get out of town and enjoy. The staff is always pleasant- and helpful if needed. The grounds are... More

My wife and I were wanting to stay at places that were not in the cities during our road-trip around Southern California. In April we virtually had the place to ourselves. Friendly Chuck and his dog were waiting when we arrived with four sets of keys and asked us to look in each room and decide which one took our... More

Chuck Richards’ Falling Waters River Resort is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a cabin right on the beautiful Kern River! It’s far enough from the road to hear nothing but the lull of the river and was serenely peaceful and quiet in the off-season! We stayed in a lovely Victorian-themed duplex cabin. The staff and service... More
