My wife and I stayed at the Kern River Bed & Breakfast after leaving Vegas and driving across Death Valley. We were touring the Sequoia and Yosemite parks on our way to SF. The Inn is a great place to spend the night, or a few nights. It was very comfortable, clean and the breakfast was great. I enjoyed sitting... More

I stayed one night at Kern River Inn while traveling from Sequoia National Part to Death Valley and this B&B is right in the middle. The room was very nicely decorated, super clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast tasted great.

Kernville isn't our idea of a destination location but if your travels take you through this area definitely stay here. I stayed here once about eight to ten years ago (also returning from a two week Southwestern vacation) and enjoyed the stay. The inn has actually improved in that time . . . lots of little touches, some major ones... More

OMG this B&B is the finest we have ever stayed in. Squeaky clean; they even iron their sheets!!! Perfect in every way, gorgeous location flanking the river. Nice place for morning walks. Walk to shops and restaurants and enjoy an over the top breakfast spread and lounge in the comfortable leather club chairs and huge gathering areas. A sensational respite... More

This is a lovely inn with a great hostess. Virginia was full of great information and tips. The breakfast was all homemade and substantial. The only reason I would not give it a five was the property was a little dated. Nice room and comfy bed but a 70s style bathroom. The location is great!

After the bustle of American cities! The Kern River Inn, is a lovely home from home b& b. Clean, tidy, spacious room and a simple home made breakfast. The owner leaves cookies for those who want a traditional American snack later in the day.

Excellent location - right across from the Kern River. When we arrived the inside smelled like freshly baked cookies (which were served within minutes of checking in). Morning breakfast was exceptional with several good choices of fruit, eggs and a yummy "baked pancake". Decor is pleasant, if a bit dated. This is a "purpose built" B & B, so each... More

The wife and I stayed at the Kern River Inn last week for several nights. Virginia was a wonderful host who made us feel welcome and at home. The room was outstanding with a comfortable bed, nice amenities and nice bathroom. Other couples were in the Inn during our stay and we enjoyed meeting and having breakfast with them. By... More

Last summer during our California vacation (Big Sur, Monterrey Bay, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon) After driving several hours through some winding road we finally made it there late at night. My daughter was nauseous after the rough ride and got sick right outside the Inn...she did not make it to the bathroom! But Virginia was so nice and made... More

I stayed here last week while out on a business trip and after an hour and a half drive through some very desolate, but beautiful canyonlands I am so glad I booked this place ahead of time because there really are not a lot of choices out there! Virginia was very friendly and made me feel right at home. I... More
