I stayed at the Kern Lodge for a few days in April. The scenery, the location and even the rooms weren't too bad. My issue was with the poor management and condescending hotel receptionist, Glo. My friend and I were super polite and excited to stay, but something about the way Glo spoke down to us, left a bad taste... More

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The king bed was SO comfortable and the sheets were soft and luxurious! We had fun playing pool in the game room. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. You can tell the owners have worked hard to make this older hotel cute and clean. A very "family" hotel. I loved... More

We stayed here for 2 nights after a week in Vegas' It was great to go somewhere so beautiful and rekaxing after the desert and the bright light! The lodges are great, very clean and comfortable, the owners were very helpful. The Kern brewery us within staggering distance (excellent beers and food but be warned it shuts at 9:30-ish!) The... A lovely little town, full of friendly people and a clean, spacious lodging house to base yourself. Walking distance to the bars and all the restaurants, and lots of daily adventure activities such as rafting, canoeing, walking, cycling etc. A well stocked good value supermarket opposite, and the room even had a microwave as well as tea and coffee making... We stayed two nights in April 2015 at the Kern Lodge. Every room is individually furnished, and you'll find most of what you need here; beautiful scenery, a short stroll to the town centre with its cafes and restaurants, pool, barbecue, open fire area, Best of all is the Kern Valley Brewing Co., just behind the lodge. Great beer and... More

Me and my wife were looking for a place where our guests could stay during our wedding, so we went around looking. We literally visited all the hotels in the area, looking at the rooms, the surroundings and making sure we would have a good impression of the manager/employees of the place. This hotel is, by far, the best available... More

It's kind of like staying at Grandma's house! Wood paneling, antique looking furniture, ect. You can tell they take pride in their place, each room has a different theme and name to match. The staff was really nice. I think our group had rented out 9 of the rooms and no one had any complaints! Well some of us had... More

Hello, thank you for your amazing review! Nine rooms and no complaints, we're thrilled to know your group had a good time! I did read that there was an issue with the Wi-Fi for you in particular, which could be any number of things. Should you stay with us again and this issue reoccurs, feel free to ask our Front... I had a room in the front next to where a bunch of work trucks were parked. It was noisy and the room needed updating. I stayed here about a year ago and had a nice room in the back. This time the room was overpriced, noisy, and felt old and dirty.

We stayed here last week of March 2015. Made Reservations w/Rose over the phone, who was very pleasant and most accommodating. Checked in w/Crystal who was also very delightful as well as helpful. We had room 112 (u can see rooms on line) which had it’s own BBQ, we bought (2) Rib eye Steaks across the street and downed those... More

I have been in entertainment for over 30 years, and have traveled around the world. On February 26, 2015 my job, as Road Manager for Country Singer/Songwriter Lacy J Dalton, brought me to the small town of Kernville, California. Ms. Dalton, the Band and I stayed at The Kern Lodge and our stay was wonderful. The staff was professional and... More
