We found the Double Eagle while road tripping the west coast and making our way thru Yosemite. They accepted pets and could accommodate my wheelchair so we booked online. We were surprised by the beauty and immediately feel in love with this hidden resort. Mountain views all around with lakes and waterfall views from the cabin. The restaurant was good... More

This was our third time this week at Double Eagle Lodge and our 2nd time In a cabin over the past 9 years. So here are the pluses and minuses. Pluses: Location, location, location. Beautiful setting at the foot of Carson Peak. Waterfall views, trees surrounding that give a sense of seclusion. Also within short distance to 3 lakes and... More

we booked this place after checking reviews and they were absolutely correct. the place was perfect, quite and close to the lakes all around. the room was on the first floor and it had a balcony facing a little pond. it had 2 double beds, jacuzzi, and all you would need in a holiday apt. there is also a really... We stayed here for few nights in June as part of our honeymoon. The location was ideal for us -picturesque, quiet, idyllic hiking trails, but June Lake is very quiet, especially in summer and might be too remote/quiet for some. The room was comfortable, clean and had large bath, and gorgeous view from balcony. However fridge was very loud. Wi... More

We've visited the Double Eagle Spa before and booked a couples massage. The facility has a beautiful setting and ammenities worth a 3-4 hour visit with dining next door. Good value and the only spa in the area. After enjoying the facility, our session starts with a bubble bath in an old style claw foot bath tub. Our therapists were... More

The Double Eagle is one of our favorite places to stay - dog friendly, stupendous views and a spa/pool to boot. We regularly visit (twice a year) and always enjoy ourselves. However, this last visit was marred by less than standard service, which surprised us, as they have always been very good in terms of housekeeping, food service and amenities.... More

Going to June Lake has been a family tradition for generations for us, but this is the first time we ever stayed at the Double Eagle Resort and Spa. Luxury accommodations sit in the middle of a magical forest setting. Blue skies above, glorious mountains jutting above with waterfalls in full view, small brooks making a continuous bubbling sound. You... More

Visited Double Eagle after having stayed beside Yosemite which I thought was going to be tough to beat. The drive to the resort was quite long (having come from El Portal)...however, once arrived this must be one of the best place I have visited. The room overlooked the pond, it was spotless, very welcoming staff and the spa was incredible.... More

I hosted a Bridal Shower with the help of Darla Ross, General Manager, and it was wonderful! There were to be 10 guests and we were given access to the bar, which I was allowed to decorate. The theme was, "Sweet Tea with the Bride-to-be and they made a big pitcher of sweet tea for us. We had the Brie... More

This resort is much more intimate than it appeared online and we liked that about it. We were there in off season in March, so it was very quiet. It was very casual and nestled into the wooded area around a small pond (although it looks a bit like a lake in the website photos). It's a drive to the... More
