The Julian Hotel is the most lovely B&B. I love its history! The entire staff is extra kind and friendly. My husband and i stayed in room #10, it was beautiful, clean and very quiet. Each room is unique and special. Since we enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the world go by, we are looking forward to staying... More

If you are looking for a place to just get away from the hustle and bustle, you've found it. Our stay more than meet our expectations. The staff, Karen, Lisa, and Jennifer are incredible. They treated us well, and the accommodations were warm and private. It was really like stepping back in time to a simpler way of life. We... More

As a resident of San Diego, I have visited the nearby mountain town of Julian many times. Each time, I admired the old Julian Gold Rush Hotel and dreamed of staying there. That dream came true last November, when my husband and I decided to mark a special occasion by spending two days in Julian, with a night at the... More

I've always admired the Julian Gold Rush Hotel from outside; so as part of my vacation this month, I had the opportunity to stay there. I love historic buildings and this one is just delightful. I had the choice of two rooms to choose from, "8 is Great"!! Each room has a different decor. There is a lovely garden area... More

I would suggest paying the extra $10 to get the larger first floor room if you plan to spend time in your room. The upstairs rooms are wonderfully charming but a little "tight" on space. However, the parlor area is so wonderful you may not mind a small bedroom. The interaction with other guest was one of the best experiences... More

Have stayed at this quaint bed & breakfast quite a few times now and i am always pleased with the experience. I love being able to choose an available room that suits your personality. I have not found a room that was disappointing. The tea time is such a nice touch in the early evening. It includes tea, coffee and... More

Located in the center of town, this is the oldest operated Hotel in Southern California (1897). A very good feel for the quiet and quaint ex gold mining town. Now the info, rooms are small but decorated for the period. NO TV!! for the 1897 feel. Great lobby that has books and puzzles to enjoy the quiet. Very much enjoyed... More

My hubby surprised me with one night stay. Being an Native of the County of San Diego, I have visited this close net town many times growing up, but never stayed in the Historical Hotel. Our greeting by one of the owners was a little cold, but after checking in it again to warm up in a cozy small room,... More

We stay frequently at the Julian Hotel as it adds a nice historical touch to visiting the Julian area. The afternoon tea and breakfasts are wonderful. Lisa always remembers us as we check in. Great location, central to walking to everything in the town. The dining room does not allow cell phones, which is WONDERFUL!
