We drove from Coronado to Julian to stay at this wonderful B & B. My wife and I were on an 18 day road trip around southern California and having stayed at Inn type B & B's on a trip to Napa and Sonoma some years ago decided to try it again once on this trip. I wish we had... More

The best experience I've ever encountered. If Julian, CA is your travel destination look no further, The Eaglenest is literally a home away from home. Jim & Julie welcome you into their home and virtually make it your own for your entire stay. The house in itself is so beautiful, warm, full of life and energy. Each room within the... More

My wife and I stayed with Julie and Jim Degenfelder in the Spring Room. What a great place to let down, enjoy the hot tub, the apple pie on arrival and the spectacular room with a large living room and fireplace in the bedroom. This is an ideal B&B for couples, a romantic retreat from the world of care. Julie... More

This was our second visit to Eaglenest and it was even better than before! Perfect jacuzzi adjoining pool, yummy apple streudel awaiting us upon arrival, and carefully planned coffee/tea assortment as well as common pantry with all sorts of drinks and ice cream to top our streudel. The host was always ready to met our every need, with the help... More

My husband & I returned to Eaglenest for our 3rd annual visit last week. We love it so much there, because Jim & Julie truly make you feel like you're a part of their loving family. The home and all of the rooms are so comfortable, with top-notch furnishings. (We were wishing we could take our bed home with us!)... More

Jim and Julie are simply wonderful and engaging hosts of this lovely getaway location. We celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed every element of this quant and relaxing "home away from home". Everything was offered and handled for us as you would expect - and more! The pool and spa make this place special - especially during a hot summer day!... More

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a stay in the Cabin in the Pines. It is about 1 1/2 miles outside of town, separate from the B&B. It was so quiet and cozy and private! It was equipped nicely...modern kitchen with stainless appliances, flat screen T.V., jetted tubs! There was a cute little gas fireplace that we... More

I don't normally get all gushy and excited about a B&B, but my weekend anniversary stay here was made absolutely awesome by this quiet little getaway place. From the delectable smell of baking brownies as we entered, to the exquisite decorating and homey 'feel' to the rooms and common areas, and yes.. to the friendly owners and the even friendlier... Now they have owned this place since 95 I believe so they had a lot of time to get it right, and they have. A lot of attention to detail in the house and the service. We stayed in the upstairs room which was very large. It was a suite more than just a room, had its own living room... More
