I've been there may 6th for taking a deserved day off from the Trail. After 2 awful nights camping in Anza Borrego desert, windy, cold and with risk of thunderstorm, i couldn't have found anything better to rest my tired body. Julian Lodge is a very nice motel, hiker friendly, with perfect Wi-Fi and laundry service for hiker also. Rate... More

Great location, 1 minute walk to the main street. The hotel itself is just behind the main street so it is centrally located without having all the noise from the main road (not that Julian is that busy anyway). The rooms are clean and tidy, free wifi, no fridge - so adequate. The breakfast room is not that big, and... More

We arrived on a Sunday about 5 pm after hiking all day in hot Borrego Springs. Our room was clean and the Lodge close to the Julian Cafe, one of the only two restaurants open after 5 pm. the bikers were leaving and shops shut down as we walked the charming town. The best part after a day of hiking... More

This B&B is in a great location, you can walk to everything from there. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast is decent... cereal, fruit, bagels and English muffins that you can toast yourself, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Frozen pancakes and waffles, again that you toast up yourself. The place is pet friendly which was great for us... More

This B&B is right next to the main drag of downtown Julian. It is an easy walk to all the delicious restaurants including Julian Grille and Moms Apple Pie store. The check in/out was fast and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. My husband and I were able to get a room the day of for a quick get... More

All things considered I had to rate our last stay "Excellent". Booked for Christmas Eve and got a bottom floor room for the first time. Was not bad, in fact quiet. Did not know if anyone was in the floor above. Arrived late in the evening and Roni still wanted to meet us at the office and give us our... More

The room was very quaint. Antique furnishes. Lovely antique furniture. But the bathroom was severely outdated. It looked as if the bathroom was an after thought. Pet friendly. I would stay again but an updated bathroom would really make it worth what they charge a night.

Because this is a tourist town the prices are high. This could have been a lot nicer and a lot better value; as it was, it was average. My advice is to get a room on the top floor. We were on the lower floor and every time the person above walked on their floor it was on our ceiling.... More

The Julian Lodge isn't anything fancy, but has everything you will need for a nice trip to this small town. It is located right in town, and you can walk to all the stores, restaurants, and even the Gold Mine. Continental Breakfast is served daily, and Coffee, warm drinks and of course apples are always available in the Lobby. Also... More

I recently stayed at the Julian Lodge. Why? I had a wedding to attend at a nearby winery/farm. The shuttle for the wedding picked us up in the parking lot; this was for all in attendance for the wedding. I thought this would be the best place to stay for that reason. NOT!!!! Not only was the room dirty. I... More
