I have passed the Joshua Tree Inn several times over the years, but never stayed there. Well I put that right this year. Don't go there expecting the chain hotel experience. What you get here is a slice of 50's Americana with a twist. The rooms are small, but very comfortable with a rustic feel and the grounds and pool... More

Stayed here with a group of 7. My wife and I had the Gram Parsons room. The room is basic but clean a comfortable. The whole place has a really great relaxed retro feel about it. There is a walled garden area with a log burner, with plenty of seating around it. My tip would be to stock up with... More

What a great experience to finally make the pilgrimage to the famed Joshua Tree Inn. This motel is super atmospheric and is also perfectly situated for exploring Joshua Tree National Park. Any fan of Gram Parsons will want to stay here and soak up the early 70s charm and spend a little time at the beautiful shrine outside of Gram's... More

Charming funky little motel in the desert. Stayed in Rm. 10 and loved the Spanish tile floor, the open beam ceiling, and the romantic brass bed. Not only was the room well presented but it was absolutely clean! That area can be dusty and although our overnight visit was right after a storm, the room was spotless. Hats off to... More

I love the Joshua Tree Inn. The place itself is gorgeous (how could it not be--it's right by JTree National Park), it is clean and cared for, the staff is warm and approachable, and the whole vibe is one of comfort and ease. I'm not a religious or superstitious person by nature, but this place has a spiritual and magical... More

I have stayed most places in Joshua Tree, and this is the place that most epitomizes that Joshua Tree vibe for me. The grounds, the light, the delicious chai, dunno what it is. One of my favorite memories is sitting around the fire pit at night listening to people play amazing music and watching the stars. Don't miss the light... More

This is such a great place to stay!!! We were in room 2...which is in effect 2 bedrooms. It has a spa outside in its own private courtyard. Some people on trip advisor have complained about this Inn. You come to Joshua Tree for the experience of the area not a Presidential suite like hotel. Joshua Tree Inn is quaint,... More

We stayed in hotels and motels all over California and Arizona and nowhere else was as pretty and charming as the Joshua Tree Inn. In functional terms it was good - a big, clean pool, a big comfy bed, a good bathroom. But what set it apart from other places were the individual patios for each room, the well furnished... More

This area has very inexpensive hotels. I booked here thinking it would be very charming as it was not cheap. Big mistake. Ok location, bad service, yard sale furniture, and dirty ashtrays everywhere. Terrible coffee and tea. The mattress was fine but the room was bare bones and the furniture pretty sad. Tv had 13 channels. Pool was nice. We... More

We understand. Why stay at a legendary Inn with Zen garden, Koi pond, three acres of desert, huge pool, lounge deck and cultural history, when you could have stayed at a cheap motel? We don't understand why you didn't switch the remote from "TV" to "Cable" for more channels, though. Or why you don't care for freshly brewed Yerba Mate leaf... More

This motel is near the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Staying there made me feel like I was a groupie from 20 years ago. Indeed Gram Parsons did die here, and you can pay extra to stay in his last room. The property is huge, with private patios for each non-cookie-cutter room, an area with a fire pit,a breakfast/game... More
