This is our second time at the Desert Lily B&B "compound". I call it that because there is a B&B as well as several free standing, self-catering casitas where we typically stay. Then Luna Vista was well-equipped, had lovely setting with indoor & outdoor fireplaces and perfectly fit our needs for a great price. More importantly, the staff were very... More

Decided to give this place a try with all the good reviews it had gotten. WE stayed to go the park and have a nice place to relax in. Stayed in the "biltmore" cabin, it was run down, mismatched, dirty, and the fridge was leaking so there was a big puddle in the middle of the kitchen the whole time.... More

We stayed here in early March on a mid-week 3 night trip. Had the whole B&B to ourselves. Our interaction was mostly with Madison who was a delight. She cooked delicious breakfasts and even made us one "to go" on request so that we could get on the trails a bit earlier. There was a small fridge available in the... More

Carrie, Thanks for hosting us in your wonderful B&B, and even trying to lock us in and keep us captive one day. We enjoyed everything! We loved the B&B, the perfect location, and viewing the night sky from your 2-person hammock. You were such good company, hope all goes well for you, Ian and Jane

Carrie is one cool lady she owns two places and manages another three. OK she has some help but she is the place. Her living room is at your disposal but don,t stray into her domaine of the kitchen otherwise there is coffee wine etc. all part of the deal. It is fairly easy to find up a rough track... More

On a whim, while researching things to do on our recent trip to CA, we booked a one night stay at the Desert Lily as we knew we wanted to visit Joshua Tree and liked the idea of being so close to the park. We rarely stay at B&Bs but I think this experience will change that. The Desert Lily... More

The Desert Lily is fantastic. We only stayed one night but were sad to leave. The rooms are amongst the smallest you'll find anywhere but I promise you won't mind as you won't be spending much time in them (not even a TV to keep you inside!). There is a comfortable seating area with drinks in the breakfast room but... More

We stayed at The Desert Lily over New Years, and had the most amazing time. We kept sleeping in late, but our last day there we did make it to breakfast! We met a really great couple also from Los Angeles and some European Travelers. Carrie's awesome and super funny, one of the perks. Enjoy.

We spent two nights in the B&B. Rooms are surprisingly snug (if a couple travels with more than roll aboard luggage, I don't know where they would put their suitcases). However, the rooms are also well-appointed with great touches...robes, slippers, backpack, cooler for touring in the national park, many toiletries including sunscreen. Thoughtful. The location, a few miles up the... More
