Spin and Margie's was all that I could have hoped for and more. Charming, colorful, peaceful, well-appointed and well-coordinated inside and out. Such a perfectly welcoming place to return to after a day of wandering through Joshua Tree, I'd go back in a heartbeat. The kitchen was stocked with pretty much everything you need to cook a decent meal or... More

If you're visiting Joshua Tree National Park, pass up the other motels and head for Spin and Margie's. This place captures the romance of vintage-era travel with whimsy and style. We stayed in the Mohave Wanderer suite and we found it artfully decorated, very thoughtfully provisioned, nicely maintained, and clean and comfortable. The grounds are landscaped for relaxation and fun.... More

Two things to advise everyone about....first two nights not enough... The area deserves a lot of exploration and secondly ensure you arrive in the area before nightfall as Sunkist Road is a bugger to find if travelling westwards. And, lastly, check the road reports before travelling as we found that today a lot of roads esp R66 to the north... More

Peaceful and tranquil place to stay despite being just off the highway. We love the onsite wildlife, including humming birds and the cacti and other flora. Cabins are well kept and equipped, their quirks only add to our enjoyment. We are pleased not to have daily maid service, if you can't make a towel last two days, then I would hate... More

I've been wanting to stay here for several years and finally made it! This area of the Mojave is so popular that it is sometimes hard to get reservations in the area in the lovely month of April. Just a look at their website says this is a MUST STAY place if you like creativity and fun hang out places.... More

We LOVED our stay here! We stayed in room 3, my sister's family was in room 1. Both rooms were decorated uniquely and included a private patio area which was great! I loved sitting there to read until everyone else was up. Our kids loved exploring the backyard and watching the lizards and birds. We also loved the stargazing area... More

Pretty unique place. There are few amenities but the rooms are decorated in unusual styles and everything was clean and handy. The phone booking process was fun and the owner was cordial. We are very pleased with this choice for a weekday getaway.

Was not sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by the charm of Spin and Margie's. We stayed two nights and so enjoyed the character of the hideaway. We were in #1 and the size was perfect with good kitchen space and choices of sitting outside in private courtyard or in the other areas around the property. We would... More

A classically quirky, funked out desert hideaway, Spin and Margie's is true to its name, off the 29 palms hwy down a short stretch of sandy dirt road and only a few minutes drive from Joshua Tree National Park's west entrance gate. The Western Nomad suite we stayed in offered plenty of room to lounge, cook and cool ourselves down... More

I can't really add anything new to the previous reviews. I loved staying there. I stayed there while my husband was off camping and felt very comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Having a little kitchen meant I could get fresh fruitand bread and local Joshua Tree Coffee Company coffee at the organic grocery for breakfast. Leftovers from the great... More
