My husband and I have been going here for years. Mindy and Drew put a lot of care into this little hideaway making it one of our favorite places to stay in the world. The desert has a sublime beauty and in the hands of Mindy and Drew it becomes intoxicating. We have stayed in 3 of the five rooms... more

Loved this place and think about it now and then, dreaming of super quiet days in my own private patio. We had the Sonoran Traveler and it was home away from home. Nicely supplied with books, DVDs and pantry supplies, clean and colorful. You could sit in the airy patio and read or go into the common area for barbecuing... more

We came to Spin & Margie's with another family of three and rented adjacent rooms. The adults and kids alike were delighted with the decor, the amenities, and the beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces. With a kitchen in each unit, we'd planned to cook in (at least for breakfast), but once we discovered the French bakery in town (thanks to Spin... more

We could not have found a better spot to stay while exploring Joshua Tree National Park. A few connected cabins surrounding a small courtyard, a few miles from one entrance to the park and just off the main road to 29 Palms, we wondered at first whether it would be just a renovated motel. But after we parked and saw... more

especially when I'm traveling alone (as I was on this recent weekend escape from LA to JT), I want to feel looked after but cringe at being fussed over and can't stand that scripted insincere 'hospitality' resorts deliver -- so, at the risk of going totally Goldilocks, I have to say that Spin and Margie's gets everything "just right." I... more

We just returned from our second visit at Spin and Margies, and are prepared to make it an annual tradition. The location near the entrance to one of the great national parks is ideal, the setting is beautiful and the decor and amenities are perfectly done. Our units had kitchenettes, which were appointed with all the necessary supplies needed to... more

We flew into Seattle from Stockholm for 3 weeks of work. When we where finished we headed down to LA for 2 days and rented a car and drove into the desert!!! As we started to drive up the mountain from Palm Springs we couldn't believe our eye's, what a landscape. As we drove through Joshua Tree for the first... more

We enjoyed staying here. Easy access to the park, food, etc but not located in the middle of the action itself. Very comfy room with lots of space to spread out. Tiny kitchen allowed us to make our own breakfast and eat in our pj's while watching the hummingbirds bathe in the little fountain in the middle of the patio.... more

What a find! My girlfriend and I spent a week in Joshua Tree and found the accommodations spectacular, along with the rest of the natural beauty that surrounded us. The landscaping and cactus gardens are beautiful, and the rooms were clean, well appointed and charming. Inn keepers Mindy and Drew, seemed to have put a lot of love into the... more

First time in California and whilst planning our road trip from San Francisco to LA, we decided we needed some chill-out time and wow! did we get it! Nearly missed it as it's so hidden away. We were the only visitors during our stay and the memories of sitting around the table, eating and chatting in the darkness and silence... more
