You'll drive for miles of twisty curves on Highway 1 and think you've dropped off the face of the earth before this place appears and you sigh with relief. The Timber Cove Inn has some of the best views of the stunning Sonoma Coast, and it is comfortable, cozy, and welcoming. The staff could not have been nicer. The food... More

My husband and I (from Tennessee) were driving down the coast, just looking at beautiful scenery, and we were hungry. We came upon this place and went in for something to eat. The food was SO good. The ribs were the best I've ever had. The margaritas were good too. They weren't crowded at all. It was peaceful and beautiful.... More

The Timber Cove Inn is a cool, old cathedral like building with massive stone fireplace. We were there close to Christmas, on a very windy, freezing cold and rainy day. The lobby was a great place to hang out, drink by the fire and read the paper sort of a place. We had a cove view room, number 502. It... More

Stayed at the Timber Cove Inn on a little holiday getaway for a couple of lovely nights. The Lodge has a lot going for it and I hope once they close for a few months (happening very, very soon) it will re-open with new life and all of the kinks worked out. I also hope they figure out how to... More

This year we decided to fly from the East Coast to the West Coast so we could spend Christmas in the Redwoods (in a cabin) with our daughter. On Christmas Eve we drove about 12 miles across the mountains to Fort Ross, the southernmost point of Russian civilization in North America--an impressive fortress built in 1812 to defend against native... Loved the place!! The inn is right on highway 1 on a cliff. We had a balcony that overlooked the water. This is a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright -inspired inn with gorgeous grounds. They will be undergoing a huge renovation and I hope this place retains the character it has now. Our room had enclosed gas fired wood logs that... More

I couldn't really tell from the pictures if Inn was directly on the coast. I decided to book it and am so glad I did. Location was perfect. I arrived just after dark so after checking in I sat outside by the fire pit and listened to the waves crash against the rocks. The next morning I was thrilled with... More

this was our third time staying at Timber cove! I do miss the large in room hot tubs, but the drought?? We loved our room, and the views are to die for! The new Manager Julian is really personable and seems like a great addition to what has always been a gorgeous location. I know we will be back!

Went to this hotel in June so it is on the coast and it was chilly. The view is picturesque and could be in postcards. The ground were maintained well and there was a nice trail along the coast. So wonderful in the morning with a nice cup of coffee. The restaurant has wonderful local produce and we ate dinner... More

I spent three nights here, on vacation with the sole purpose of just relaxing and checking-out from reality. The bed was super comfortable and the view of the ocean from my room was unbelievable. The wifi worked perfectly and was fast (especially considering the remote location). Front desk staff were very friendly. Only issue was that the drive to the... More
