It is a little piece of heaven. We stayed a weekend at the end of a 10 day trip to California. Had room 200, an end room which was quite large and quiet. Room was wonderful with king bed and sitting area with fireplace and deck. Hugh soaking tub, but unable to use because of the water shortage. Shower was... More

This was the last stop on our California honeymoon trip. We are glad that we picked this as our place to stop. The view is simply amazing. The lodge is a little dated but remodeling is taking place. We would give it a 5 but the service at the bar and lounge was prettty bad. There was only one guy... More

We visited Timber Cove Inn on the last leg of our journey around Northern California on our way back to San Francisco. We had been very lucky with our hotels to date so it had some steep competition. The day we arrived it was a wet and stormy day on the coast so we were not in the best spirits... More

This hotel is one of those wonderful places that probably couldn't be built again given the intense building codes and zoning issues that many fantastic beach locations face today. The hotel sits directly on the cliff above the ocean and when the website says ocean front, it really means ocean front. We booked two rooms - one with a drop... More

We booked an ocean front room and walked into the lobby with a massive fireplace burning to greet us. Our room unfortunatey didn't have a refrigerator, but a gas fireplace and a magnificent view to the west, of the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful natural wood room with a skylight. Upon returning from dinner in their restaurant, the pilot light in our... More

Timber Cove is very isolated on the Pacific coast. It is on a point and has great views up and down the coast. Our room looked out on a great view and there was a small deck to enjoy our view outside. We had brunch at the restaurant and it was very good (French toast was fabulous). However, our room... More

Would have give it a 0 if I could. Although I have not stayed there, I was considering being in the area for Thanksgiving and staying there. Not anymore after I learned that they refused service to some people based on the language they spoke.

I first found this place a few years ago on an unplanned business trip. I passed this place in the fall around 8pm looking for an open hotel to stay in with vacancy after the summer season had ended. This is not apparently easy. They did not have rooms, however I still had dinner here and vowed to come back.... More

We had stopped here for lunch a few times in the past and I always said I'd love to stay here, it is quite remote (the drive here is a bit scary if you are afraid of heights!), but such a beautiful area and the hotel seemed so unique. There were also some cute raccoons who were on the property... More

Beautiful views of the ocean! On site restaurant was above average. I only have a few suggestions which are (1) please make breakfast earlier than 8:30 am (that's 11:30 EST)! (2) The rooms need updating as the decor is quite out of date. (3) The bathrooms also need updating. If you can handle outdated decor the view and sound of... More
