Stayed here the last night of our vacation in Northern California. What a lucky find! We booked a room with a cove view. Being awoken by the gorgeous sunrise over the water was worth every penny. Loved the huge shower and circular fireplace in the room. Had dinner in the restaurant - excellent but pricey, I thought. Service was attentive... More

Timber Cove Inn is one of our favorite places and a "must stay" whenever we travel anywhere close to this area. Our favorite rooms are the ones with the cove view (have stayed twice in #500 and this time in the cove suite, #405). The setting is rustic, the views superb, the ambiance inviting, and the sunsets amazing.

Stayed here for a night when we did the Sonoma Coast drive which is stunning, way above the Big Sur drive. Hotel is located on the cliff overlooking the beach but ocean rooms are difficult to get at last minute. We had a forest view room although we could still see the sea from the balcony. The main problem is... More

We were in Napa and Sonoma and wanted to spend one night on the coast. This was a very good stay. The drive to the lodge and the view from the balcony was just great. I'd definitely stay here again. If you're looking for a new hotel, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're looking for somewhere comfortable... More

given the beauty of the location I expected more. The Main Inn and especially the rooms are rundown and in disrepair. The staff is not hospitable or welcoming. This sheets were dirty and I couldn't get them to change the linen. The clock at the bedside was broken and it took two days to get a new one. The carpet... More

We went to the Timber Cove Inn on the spare of the moment. We had a few problems with our reservation. I can not say enough great things about Laura (the front desk lady) she was WONDERFUL. She was able to find our reservation, help us with our issue and in the end solved the problem. She went out of... More

It is a little piece of heaven. We stayed a weekend at the end of a 10 day trip to California. Had room 200, an end room which was quite large and quiet. Room was wonderful with king bed and sitting area with fireplace and deck. Hugh soaking tub, but unable to use because of the water shortage. Shower was... More

This was the last stop on our California honeymoon trip. We are glad that we picked this as our place to stop. The view is simply amazing. The lodge is a little dated but remodeling is taking place. We would give it a 5 but the service at the bar and lounge was prettty bad. There was only one guy... More

We visited Timber Cove Inn on the last leg of our journey around Northern California on our way back to San Francisco. We had been very lucky with our hotels to date so it had some steep competition. The day we arrived it was a wet and stormy day on the coast so we were not in the best spirits... More

This hotel is one of those wonderful places that probably couldn't be built again given the intense building codes and zoning issues that many fantastic beach locations face today. The hotel sits directly on the cliff above the ocean and when the website says ocean front, it really means ocean front. We booked two rooms - one with a drop... More
