This is a wonderful romantic place to stay. I had requested flowers, cheese and wine since we were arriving late on a Friday Night, and it was all set up upon our arrival. The staff was exceptional, and very accommodating. I also would recommend the food, incredible!

I need to preface that I'm pretty particular about where I stay. I like to do a lot of research on where I stay and go off many of the referrals here on TripAdvisor. I'm not a Four Seasons gal nor a Motel 6, I don't camp and prefer something that is clean, comfortable and affordable. But I would have... More

I stayed here on a recent bicycle tour since rain was in the forecast and I did not want to camp. I am so glad I stopped. I had a great night talking to awesome people, including Steven, the new proprietor, as well as an employee and some other guests. The entire place was very welcoming, and we ended up... More

I agree with all the negative reviews. We stayed in Rose Cottage and arrived late in the day. Parking was a bit concerning as we had to park on the edge of busy Highway 1 right beyond a curve so it was difficult to see oncoming traffic. It only got worse from there, we had my 86 year old mother... More

We stayed at the Jenner Inn, taking a much needed time away as a family after the loss of a close family member. The pictures from the website gave a sense of real comfort and beauty. But,the reality is, the place is disgusting. We stayed in the Mill Cottage. It boasted a kitchen and looked like a place we could... More

We drove hours from Humboldt county excited . Room didn't look at all like online. We rented for three days ahead of time . The smell hit us when we opened the door! Fresh brown Dog crap stains not even cleaned up . It stunk worse than a septic tank . Outdated furniture and black hairs all over the bed... More

This room looks nothing like it's website photo. We booked the Grey Whale. Where is the cute furniture? The love seat? The light in the corner? The wicker chair? Oval coffee table, nice rug, pretty bedspread? We paid alot for the room with the river view. I expected better. I expected what the website showed. For $264.18, I got a... More

One of the best hotels in California, even with its deferred maintenance. This is right where the Russian River flows into the sea. Its a magical peaceful estuary where the ripples of ducks and crane on the sunset dappled river takes center stage. The rooms are clean enough. We are lucky this place is here! It's a retreat from the... More

The location is a nice waterfront one (across the street) right on the Russian River inlet to the pacific ocean. However the rooms were old, felt kind of dirty, and just weren't comfortable. No cell service, but that's ok, just know before you go. Around 9 PM, all staff just disappear. I'm not going back here.

I'll start by saying that I am in agreement with other current reviewers that the Inn (we only saw our cottage, The Grey Whale) could use some updates, refurbishment and a good scrubbing, but all of the items were pretty minor and we expected a bit of timeless rustic. An objective eye could likely suggest some rather inexpensive improvements (new... More
