Service with a genuine smile, thats the treatment we got when we stayed at this great place. What more do you want than , clean rooms, helpful staff and a real feeling of welcome. We got all that plus, plus and at a price that was so cheap I dont know how they do it. Its like staying in a... more

We spent a wonderful weekend in Jamestown at the Royal Carriage Inn. This historical hotel is charming and unique. The rooms are small, but furnished with comfortable beds and very clean. The highlight of our stay however was the manager, Jennifer. She makes everyone feel as if they are a special guest in her home. She even remembers her guests... more

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst driving round California. On arrival the weather was very hot but we were pleased to find that our room was nice and cool. The manageress was very nice and the inn itself was quaintly decorated, clean and like something out a Western movie, complete with swing chair on the balcony.... more

I am actually still here - and I must say that this is the most wonderful place to stay. My husband and I came in for a couple nights stay after visiting San Francisco, and it is just perfect. It was wonderful to get away from the crowded city into a place that is extremely quaint, clean and welcoming. I... more

This was a cute bed and breakfast. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and had a small TV in the room. The walls are thin; we could here kids playing right next to the cottage as if they were in it. The breakfast was big and delicious. The gal running the... more

This was our first trip to the Gold country and we deffinely will be returning. Jamestown itself is quaint and looks just like an old western town should. The Royal Carriage also is old and looks and feels just like the old histortic hotel it is. That's what we wanted. Small and comfortable but friendly. These are important things you... more

Stayed one night in a cotttage on a family trip through California. The owner was very welcoming and quickly made us feel at home. We had booked a single cottage but as soon as the owner saw our two teenage girls she quickly offered to open open up the adjacent cottage so that we ended up with a HUGE area... more

I would not recommend this inn to folks staying in the area as there are better places in the area that are nicer. Stayed in one of the cottages and it left a lot to be desired. Hot water ran low during the second shower in a row and the neither one of us took that long of a shower.... more

We had a wonderful stay here in Feb. 2005. This was our first trip to Jamestown and to Tuolumne County itself, and we've fallen head-over-heels in love with all of it. The Main Street in Jamestown is small, but it's filled with several cute shops and restaurants and has a convenient grocery store as well. It's just off the highway,... more
