My mom (age 85) loves 4-wheeling on old miner's roads in the desert, and my husband and I are rock climbers, so we planned a trip to Valley of the Moon. After a day of playing in the desert, we stayed overnight at this amazingly charming inn. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Brittany was a font of info... More

Jacumba was 'bypassed' by I-8; it is on Old Highway 80...a small town with 1 restaurant (soon to open #2), this Spa Hotel, and a grocery. It is so charming. The HOT (suplhur) springs feed the indoor tub and 2 outdoor pools. The rooms are modern, clean and roomy with Satellite TV and fridge. The restaurant is great - very... More

Yes, you can visit fancier, pricier, more "deluxe" hot springs resorts, but this one has a real old, slow California feeling that is pretty darn neat. No overpriced "spa treatments", soaps for sale here. Just good old sulfur hot springs (mild scent), clear and clean air, desert skies, and the blue mountains of Mexico to the south. It is on... I took my wife to the newly renovated Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel and Spa this week. We wanted to enjoy and relax for a couple of days in the mineral hot springs waters they have in the Jacuzzi and pool areas. We had a great time. Amanda and Tina at the front desk were very nice. The rooms were large... More

This is a great hotel tucked away in the high desert outside of San Diego. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable. The restaurant had good food and service. We did not use the mineral springs pools of which they have two, or the spa services, but they are available.

So, went to dinner here on Saturday night to celebrate a friends birthday. Sat outside as the inside seemed warmer than outside. Service was slow but the food was great. Only ate at the restaurant but can't find a listing for the restaurant. We will be back for dinner, looking forward to trying the pork loin.

This was our second stay at Jacumba Hot Springs, but not out last. I’m really impressed with the remodel. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are so much nicer. Keep in mind, this isn’t a resort, it’s a motel with mineral pools. But it’s affordable, peaceful, and only an hour drive from San Diego. We were very pleased with the room,... More

Stayed at the Jacumba Hot Springs hotel a few times about 12-13 years ago. Enjoyed it but the place was a bit rustic. The place has been recently completely remodeled. We stayed there in early February 2014. The rooms are up to date. Pools (2 outdoor) and patios wonderful. Restaurant food good and reasonable. Bar cocktail prices very reasonable. Only... More

A find! Low-key, relaxed place with about 30 rooms, each with a table and chairs outside under a deep covered patio. The rooms are arranged in a rectangle surrounding one of the two mineral spring-fed pools. The other pool is designed for kids, and in a separate area there's a hot tub -- again fed by mineral springs -- and... More
