We were in Jackson to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our family. We arrived and Ashley checked us in. Very friendly and we immediately received the extra luggage rack we requested. We asked if she could put some wine we had in a refrigerator. She offered to put a mini fridge in our room. We said that wouldn't be... More

The hotel is beautiful. The room was stocked with beautiful linens and towels. Antiques. It has an elevator which is a plus. Many older buildings do not. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Steakhouse which is in the cellar of the old hotel is wonderful. Best steak I have had in a long time. The service was A+.... More

My attaché and I walked into the hotel tired and in need of a attitude change. We had been traveling and frankly where on the edge of pulling off the tour for the summer. We where greated by the most amazing smiles at the front desk. A gentleman named Steven introduced himself and his kind words and the way he... More

We have stayed in a suite here for our last two wedding anniversaries. The rooms are pleasing to the eye but have a couple of major shortcomings. We like to read and there are either no chairs or no comfortable chairs in which to do that nor is there sufficient lighting. For our last trip we booked the Honeymoon suite... More

We spent a night at the National while attending a wedding at a nearby winery. Really felt like you were in the 19th Century (even with actors dressed and acting in character as they take you on a tour of the hotel). Beds are comfortable, great breakfasts, town is charming.

I just returned from a long weekend stay at the National Hotel. The amenities are first class and the staff goes the extra mile. Visiting Jackson, CA is like stepping back in time and the National Hotel has been restored to its former grandeur. Noah, the hotel manager, made us feel like family rather than guests.

This hotel was absolutely great. They recently renovated and they could not have done a better job. They kept the décor to period and did not skimp on the quality. For the cost, this hotel had amenities that a five star hotel at three to four times the cost would have. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. The rooms... More

Overall, we had a good stay and would probably stay again. Positive: nice spacious room (king suite with balcony), good water pressure in shower, very clean, nice furnishings, not cheap reproductions, nice continental breakfast (coffee/juice/granola/a variety of sliced pound cakes/scrambled eggs/sausage/toast in a nice breakfast room with real plates and flatware, not paper plates and plastic spoons like some hotel... Wonderful place to stay! Completely updated, but retained its historic charm. The room was absolutely spotless, with high end, very comfortable bedding. Great customer service; we were made welcome and enjoyed wine and cheese in the afternoon, while visiting with other guests. (Thank you, Noah!) We had dinner at the steakhouse, on the patio. My only suggestion would be to... More

I need to go to Jackson periodically for business. Found this fantastic hotel at the end of the Main Street. It's a historic hotel that has recently been renovated. It's not just the charm and history, but the incredible friendly staff and service that keep me coming back. All the rooms are a little different and some have balconies overlooking... More
