I recently stayed at the Jackson Lodge on two different occasions. My daughter lives in the area and was having a baby nearby. When I explained the reason for my stay to Matt at the front desk, he was MORE than accomodating. He gave me an excellent price and a feeling that I didn't need to worry about this part... more

Stayed here overnight with my mother and 4 year old son in a double full-bed room. The property was clean and the man at the desk was very attentive and accommodated our late arrival with no problem. The continental breakfast was bagels, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit with milk, coffee, tea, or juice. My only qualm was the bathroom door had... more

Our family (Mom, Dad and son) spent three nights there. The "cottages" (really a one bedroom, attached apartment) were large, but had dated appliances and bathroom fixtures. Decor and cleanliness were fair. Heating system, once you got the calibration down, was ok. Even though it is on the main highway, it was quiet at night, as long as the neighbors... more

We booked a room through the hotel website with a king bed. What we got was a double size. When we asked the clerk about it he said they were booked up and there was nothing he could do but knock $15 bucks off the price. The bed was hard and we had a very difficult time sleeping without being... more

I booked over the phone, that should have been a clue! I couldnt understand the guy on the phone. When we arrived; no one at the front desk, i hit the little bell at least 8 different times. Finally! A guy came out from the back sleeping I think, which was okay i guess in these little towns. We asked... more

My two night stay was highlighted by the inability of the staff to provide hot water in my room's shower. Apparently, the employees feel that water faucets normally require at least twenty full turns to dispense any water at all. Also, local procedure dictate that the hot water MUST be turned on first in order for things to function properly.... more

Just returned home from a weekend getaway and it was fabulous. Very clean cabin, pool area and we were very satisfield other than the sofabed that was horrible for my sister and her husband to sleep on all night. It probably would have been better to ask for a rollaway bed since it probably would have been more comfortable for... more

I am always looking for a new place in Amador county. The lodge staff was very friendly and helpful. The lodge is somewhat worn and shows its age, but it was clean. I found the bed and pillows not very comfortable and I missed not having a fridge or microwave in my room. My tub was plugged and the sink... more
