I haven't stayed at a lot of chain hotels, so the Hyatt Regency Irvine could be standard fare. I found that for the amenities, the group rate of $99/night (for a wedding) was a steal. The groom tells me that their published is not much higher. The hotel is spacious, kept very clean. One night during my stay, they were... more

The hotel is very nice physically, food is good, but the service is exceptional. From the front desk to the man who delivered room service. more

The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because I got a good deal on priceline - I think it was around $65/night. However, add the parking fee of $15/night and you're back up to $80 + taxes. Our room was clean and well-appointed, the beds were especially comfortable. I travel to southern California several times a year and... more

My group stayed here for three nights. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfy. However, there was an event going on during our stay and a few pre-teen girls blaring music at weird hours next door. Parking is $15/day, which we weren't too happy about. Our main concern was, people from the hotel walked into our rooms TWICE... more

I was concerned after browsing through the reviews, but I have to suspect that some people are just extremely picky. We purchased a "discounted" room, and received a lovely spacious king room that was spotless. We arrived at noon and checked in with perfectly attentive service. We took the complimentary bicycles for a 3 hour ride around Newport Back Bay,... more

I had some weekend business in Irvine, so I chose the Hyatt because they had a great AAA rate which also included breakfast and parking. Check-in was fast and friendly, I got a room with a small balcony and a nice view of Irvine, such as it is. I don’t have pictures that would be any different than what others... more

Hotel positives: location, staff friendliness, Priceline price. Negatives: Cleanliness, parking charge, lack of internet access. Unfortunately, the level of room cleanliness left much to be desired (food under bed, grease stains on desk, foreign objects in bedding). The front desk and manager listened to our concerns and gave us 3 different rooms. Unfortunately, all three had poor standards of cleanliness... more

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this property. Unlike some others who have posted here, I found the Hyatt Regency Irvine to be a very nice Hyatt with better than average facilities and nice and professional front desk staff. The king room I had was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The bathroom, though smaller than most hotels' was large... more

I agree with the person who said that you need to bring a disinfectant with you. I had packed one before leaving home and used the entire bottle on the mattresses. The first night was not good at all. The room smelled very stale and the mattresses were old. The linens also did not smell very fresh. I found myself... more

Simply put- Do Not Stay Here. The hotel is run down and rooms are very small - the bathroom is the size of a small closet. When you are going to the bathroom the door would hit your knees. I am not kidding. But that is not even the problem. The rooms are filthy and have a terrible odor. I... more
